Dr. Abraham Jacob, MD

I have seen many physician’s in my lifetime. Never have I met such an egotistical, narcissistic doctor. Please save yourself the time and aggravation and go somewhere else.

It was quite obvious this physician is only in this specialty for the money. He does not care about the patient. He was very arrogant, talking about himself and politics!! I ended up seeing another physician and have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition!! If you are referred to him run in the opposite direction!!

I am 70 years old and have had a lifetime of chronic ear infections, major ear surgeries and sinus surgeries. I've seen ENT specialists in numerous cities, including the Univ. of Washington and London, England. My issues will never be resolved but good "maintenance" performed by an ENT specialist is necessary to keep the problems from getting worse. I went to three ENT's in the Tucson area when I moved here from Seattle two years ago. The 1st ENT said the problems were too significant for him to treat, the 2nd was so overbooked and hurried that I knew he was only looking for the patient he could get in and out in a hurry. The 3rd ENT stated that the best Dr. in the entire area was Dr. Jacob and he referred me to him. I've been under Dr. Jacob's care for a year and find him to be an extraordinary Dr. in both his knowledge and his skills. He has explained why I have the ongoing issues and he takes the time to carefully do the procedures necessary. I have seen well over a dozen… ENT specialists and he is definitely one of the best. He is an excellent communicator and I find him to be a very nice Dr. as well.

I saw Dr Abraham yesterday for the first time and wish now that I didn't have to go back. I tried to explain what other doctors had told me and he discounted everything they had said and tried to explain away what I had been told. He didn't listen to what his scribe said as a roll-up for my visit and even made it sound like why are you here, your hearing loss is normal. I didn't ask to go to him, I was referred. Wish I hadn't gone at all. Left frustrated and felt like he just didn't have the time for me.

He kept pushing me to get a cochlear implant for years even though I only had one ear with hearing and the other was deaf and he told me if it didn't work I would be completely deaf. He said if it 'did work it would only improve my hearing ''some''. I stayed with him because he kept me infection free for many years. Then in Jan last year he put liquid in my ear and I had bad infection for one month. I cannot have any liquid in my ear. Then he lied and said he had ''always'' put liquid in my ear for the years I was seeing him, a total lie. I lost my trust in him and have not gone back.

I sure wish you would listen to your patients. You could have sppared me so much discomfort and pain you arrogant man.

Dr. Jacob is an excellent doctor. He diagnosed a cholesteatoma in my left ear and removed it successfully. He is relaxed, not hurried and answers all questions with great expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Jacob.

Dr Jacob was willing to explain everything to our satisfaction pre and post op. He made a not so comfortable procedure tolerable. Mary and the NP also have been very patient with numerous phone calls from us and even fit us in last minute to allay our anxieties post op

Very thorough, Professional and took the time to explain very complicated things, Staff was very good.
