Dr. Abraham Jacobo Katz, MD

Absolutely the rudest and most unprofessional office staff, I have ever met. Just making an appointment is a nightmare. The staff never mentioned that they did not take Credit/Debit Cards and on his first appointment they informed son that they would keep his Drivers License, until I arrived to pay the $20.00 office visit by cash or check.

Doctor Katz is a Great Doctor, I recommend his services to young and adults for treatment !

While the course of treatment the doctor has prescribed for my child has been a great help, both the doctor and his staff's attitudes make for a poor experience. Whenever we come we wait over an hour before seeing Dr. Katz. The receptionist does not have the courtesy to inform the patients that the doctor will be late. When I have asked when the doctor will arrive I have been told that the staff does not know, he arrives when he wants to even though he has scheduled appointments. What is the point of having an appt then? I have seen him come in anywhere from 30 min to 1 hr after his office is open. Once we are in his office he gives my son the same lecture over and over: don't do drugs, be a good kid, and do well in school. We have remained with him due to his proximity to work and school but will be looking for another provider soon. If you want to see this doctor, I recommend you pack snacks and entertainment, it will be a long wait.

I have been seeing Dr. Katz for over two years after jumping from Dr. To Dr and different medication for my son. With out an accurate diagnosis. He was my last hope. After my first visit I promised my self I wouldn't go back. He's very blunt and doesn't sugar coat. But he hit the diagnosis and my sons medication was perfect. My son is doing great academicly, I truly recommend him.

Dr. Katz used to see my teenaged son. My son is bi polar and Dr. Katz decided he no longer needed medication because he was doing so well. He took my son off of his medication and within a few weeks he tried to kill me and himself. My 12 year old (at the time) was arrested and taken to juvenile detention until I was able to contact my lawyer to have him released into the psychiatric center. When I called Dr. Katz's office I was told he did not make house calls and when my son was out of the hospital I could make him an appointment. This man's actions could have killed my son. He should not be practicing medicine.

Dr. Katz has been a Great help to our family. He has accurately diagnosed and is currently treating both my son and my wife. The treatments have made a world of difference for us. Dr. Katz shows much concern for his patients. Its tru the waiting time can be long but that proves everyone receives his undivided attention and care when their turn arrives.

This doctor has the worse bedside manner I have ever experienced.

The doctor will not listen to what a parent has to say about their own child. This doctor has judged the father of his patient because of comments and statements the mother has told the doctor. Due to this fact the child has not been able to tell the doctor what has been going on in his life that causes him to react. This doctor would rather put a child on medicine then listen to what the child is telling the doctor. The doctor is very big on medicating children then have a child talk to a therapist. It is much easier to medicate a child then for a doctor to take time to listen to the out cry of a child being abused. This child is a teen now and does not want to be on medication but the doctor insists that the teen be on medication. The teen does not know what to do now. I am extremely distressed over this development and the lack of family therapy that this doctor does not want to take part in or even advise. I am very disappointed in Dr. Katz behavior and the lack of professionalism… with both parents of a patient.
