Dr. Adele Viguera

This is my first time rating a physician as I strongly feel it is needed in order to warn other young mothers. After telling this doctor of my recent struggles following a brain injury, including suicidal ideations and actions, she changed the conversation with a pitch for a “wonderful” parenting coach. One can only assume that she viewed me not as a person, but simply as a mother who needs to improve upon her parenting skills in order to to become a fulfilled, happy person once again. Further, when asking me what I did for a living she interrupted me after saying where I worked. She did not allow me to fully answer her question of my profession. Perhaps she assumes all women in finance are retail clerks and incapable of holding high level roles within banks. I left the appointment feeling degraded by the parenting coach referral and viewed as a simpleton. I would not recommended this doctor to other young women. Especially if you’re a mother.
