Dr. Akber M Ashraf, MD

Dr. Ashraf was my pain management doctor during my week long stay due to a motorcycle accident in JPS Hospital recently. He is wonderful. He helped me so much. The ortho doctors were ready to discharge me and Dr. Ashraf caught that my hemoglobin level was at a 7 (not good) and if I would have been released that day, I would have fainted and been right back in a ambulance starting everything over. His wisdom and strength to stand up for me not only saved me literally thousands of dollars but it saved me from the whole ?? predictable situation that absolutely would have happened and been horrible because I later did faint at the hospital. I am very grateful for this good doctor. For more than what I’ve written here today.

I did not think he was concerned with what I was saying. Just writing things and paying very little attention to me. Was out in a less than 5 minutes.

A Dr whose source of income depends on the Insurance companies to use him. Just look at the Churchill Eval. website. They make $300-400 per patient and are immune from retaliation, even if you can prove they mislead.. AND they want the insurance companies to request them, then it's best to side with them when working for the state. Unbiased? I think not. Dr' are so not there for the patient. Lining his pockets at the expense of the patient. PATHETIC.

Dr. Ashraf does not listen to the patient. He is in it for the not in tune with what you tell him, only what he wants to relay to the insurance company to gain more evaluations.
