This Doctor has office managers and office staff that refuse to take the Healthkeepers open access insurance. He hired them so he is responsible for making me feel like a fool to even have called him for an appointment. If he doesn't take my insurance, he should make sure that he is removed from the insurance listing. His people wouldn't even check with the insurance. I had two separate Blue Cross insurance staff try to talk to his staff. Both reported being unsuccessful at communicating with them. In fact, he is still listed as part of my Blue Cross program. This is the situation. I saw him when I first was having trouble with Bells Palsy, and he told me I needed to follow up when my cataract grew worst. Over the next few years, I had follow-up appointments to check my eye issues each year. Now, I can't see him because of his office staff. He blew me off as a patient. Although he has the right not to take my insurance, he should at least live up to his obligation to the… insurance or change it. I feel terrible that he would dump me after all of these years.

He did my strabismus surgery 25 years ago and my eyes have been perfectly straight ever since. I was 23 years old.

He did an excellent job on my eyes

Dr. egge diagnosed me with common skissis (sp?) a problem that must be wtached carefully every year, and referred me to a retinologist who was also good for a more detailed opinion. Here is a skilled surgeon, eho knows what he knows, but will vring in others to offer their opinion, without prompting. Further, he is not knife happy.: My Mom went to him as a second opinion regarding cataract removal and he laughed. Asked what the Dr.s name who referred her, rolled his eyes and said, "No. You might be 87 years old, but not yet." When it was time, he did the work, and some other that needed to be done.

Other reviewers are correct, Dr. Egge is cavalier, arrogant, has an answer for everything, and rushes thru appointment. Tends to dismiss your concerns. His staff on the other hand is tremendous. First eye, went well until the patch was taken off, couldn't see a thing. Gradually site came back, but not clear to this day. Second eye, anesthesia was not enough, and felt a lot of pain with the injection site in the neck. Eyesight much better in second eye. Only went back the second time because I had already paid with Care Credit.

Dr. Egge was seen for cataract surgery. This was one of the most painful and traumatic experiences of my life. I still have nightmares about my eye being scooped out. The anesthesiologist was an incompetent who also used drugs that caused significant. disorientation and memory loss. Post-op pain management was non-existence. Orientation on the early post-op period was non-existent. The responsiveness of Dominion to after-hour calls was very poor. And my eye still doesn't work very well! The PTSD involved in this experience ensures that I will never trust either Dominion or PWH again.

Three months have gone by and my eye problem is persisting. The doctor brushed me away that it is allergies and you worry too much. He spent only 1 minute with me and made the decision as to what I needed and off he went. Saying come back if problem persists in 10 days. I would never go back to such a doctor and hope fully people reading this would get a feel who they are thinking of going to. I wish I had seen his reviews before getting the appointment.
