Dr. Ali Kalamchi, MD

I will say this Dr does not care about you. After his exam I asked him what does he think and he said he cant finish the report till he gets my MRI. He said I am responsible to bring him all the records and my MRIi in which he is wrong. It is the responsibility of the insurance company. He must have trouble reading he posted his report in the courts with out the MRI and stated that the therapy helped but I never had any therapy. He scares me as a DR. and if he cant follow reports then we are all in trouble.

the man mocked me, spent less then 5 minutes with me, and less then 5 minutes looking at various images and reports, miss spelled my name and left out information in his report, hes just as bad as an IME doctor, dose not have a good intrest in my health.

I have no complaints, everything went as I was told, recovering well,should be back to work shortly.

Dr Kalamchi is wonderful before surgery. He feels that after the surgery you are fixed. Pain is still there but different thsn before surgery. I had a two level fusion in 04. The pain has increased over the years.

As far as an orthopedic surgeon goes I have to admit he is a good surgeon, But thats where it all stops. Dr. Kalamchi's Bedside manner is awful, He's all good until after the surgery, If if you are in pain, he says it's all in your head then leaves. He done my surgery and after a year and dozens of follow up appointments later telling him how much pain i was still in (moreso than before the surgery)he throws the papers that was in his hand and yells "Well we'll just schedule you tomorrow and take the instrumentation out then!"As I said, his bedside manner is awful (along with the nursing staff at Christiana Hosp.), his follow ups are awful because he won't listen to a thing you have to say if you have any problems. The fusion of L5/S1 healed beautifully, but, in less than a year it caused the 2 disks above it to blow out and he didn't want to hear it, I finally had to go to Temple University to find out what the problem was.Pre-op my waits were 10-15 mins, post-op my waits were more… like 45-50 mins. Bottom line.... Find another Orthopedic surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Kalamchi and could not have had a better experience. His office staff was very efficient and courteous. Unlike most doctors, he was right on schedule and did not keep me waiting. He was very patient and fully explained my condition and answered all of my questions. His experience and expertise were apparent. My spinal fusion went flawlessly and I am so grateful for his care. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kalamchi.
