Dr. Alice Louise Edwards, MD

Doctor Edwards is a caring, and compassionate doctor. Very professional. I have total confidence in her as a doctor. Doctor Edwards has been our family doctor for more than 2 years.

I went to see Dr. Edwards after my other PCP left the state and Edwards had taken over some of her patients. I felt she was very cold and had no interest in what I was say nor did there seem to be interest in helping me. She would not treat me and more or less pushed me off on another type of doctor until I could get the answers she was looking for. Needless to say I canceled my next appointment and am currently looking for another doctor. I heard Dr. Gaines that is with her is great, but of course he is not taking new patients.

Positive and caring with excellent medical care.

I have to agree with the three people who rate Dr. Edwards as dismissive. I have seen her 4 times I was never comfortable in thinking that she heard what I was actually trying to say. But today she really went over the top when she explained to me that people weren't understanding me because I was bipolar!! For medical doctor she surely does not know how to work with those diagnosed with mental health issues. I find her very timid she does not treat, she refers. I had a primary care physician for 15 years and then I saw doctor ready for 6 both of these were more than willing to absolutely look at my complaint andprescribe medication. Dr. Edwards simply collects her money and refers you under somebody else.

It was difficult to communicate with Dr. Edwards as she often misinterpreted what I said. She made unwarranted assumptions and there was a general disconnect. A talented specialist later ordered imaging and diagnosed the symptoms she deemed unimportant.

I have been going to Dr. Edwards since 2007. The meds were a problem but she did not give up. Right now I am doing very well for my age (75) and I will continue being a patient.

My wife Amanda and I have been going to Dr Edwards for the last 4 years, and now all of our children go to her practice. Her staff is warm, genuine, and extremely competent. Doctor Edwards herself is a physician I would happily recommend to anyone.

I felt completely dismissed, misunderstood and patronized by Dr. Edwards. I will not be utilizing her services in the future.
