Dr. Allison Heider, MD

She is worthless as a doctor.

I called on Monday with a UTI. Had many before and knew the symptoms. Was told to that I had to come in Tuesday for a UA lab. Got the lab done on Tues AM. Never heard a word from this office. Called on Wed. Was told UA showed negative-no infection. Was told it " might be bladder spasms caused by caffeine". Then on Friday, received a call from Dr. Heider's office stating "Oh, your UA did show infection". 4 DAYS IN PAIN with misinformation and no help from Dr. Heider's office. NOT ACCEPTABLE CARE!!!!!

When you visit a Dr. and tell her you can’t breathe,sleep,eat and have a stomach ache and are not losing weight wouldn’t you think they would pick up a stethoscope and listen to your lungs? No! She did not,her diagnosis was depression and I needed to do YOGA. Oh also I had a very rapid heartbeat,my niece a RN and my daughter was concerned about congestive heart failure I told her this and in the most smart assed response she ask me where my daughter got her medical training. I was admitted to Cox South next day with congestive heart failure and a severe leaky heart valve was there one week had to have a defibrillator implanted. I could have died! So Heider where did you get your medical degree?

Dr. Heider never rushes me through an appointment. She takes time to answer all of my questions. Dr. Heider is knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend her.

Everytime I go in for a urinary infection she tells me to drink more water , then a few days later I end up in an urgent care somewhere and have a fever and bad infection and get treatment for it. I have high risk respiratory problems, and she waits to see if I can just take some Zyrtec and let it resolve itself. I have to be very ill for at least 10 days apparently before I can get an antibiotic. The staff is great and she is nice and I never wait to get in, but I usually leave and have to come back or go to an urgent care before I get well.

I am currently being seen by this doctor she doesn't take your concerns seriously, and visits with her are like drive by medical exams, hurry up and wait, then nothing is resolved she spends less than five minutes with you gives you some bandaid diagnosis or solution and then sends you on your way with nothing resolved. I recently had a severe reaction to a medication informed her of said reaction, got written off and told that it was not the medication and to seek "mental help". When the medication list as serious side effect severe headaches, and rapid unexplained mood changes, none of these was discussed with me prior to trying out this medication, and having her having right it off as not relation to the medication, when these issues did not exist prior to the medication was irrating to say the least. I definitely chaning doctors, look eslewhere if you want quality medical care, she will not provide it.

Very disappointed. Won't listen to patient. Left seating over an hour.

Worthless, lacks compassion, misdiagnose.

I think Dr. Heider is a great doctor. She takes time to listen to the patients. She gets her diagnosis right. Wonderful at delivering babies! I'm very upset to see her go.

I myself had many problems with this doctor not seeming to know what the best course of action would be in certain situations. Also, she misdiagnosed my niece and sister. On top of everything, she did not start my friend on antibiotics in labor when she tested positive for GBS, resulting in her baby almost dying and being in the NICU for 7 days. I don't recommend her to anyone at all.
