Dr. Amito Mahendra Chandiwal, MD

I started seeing Dr Chandiwal while in the hospital. He was extremely thorough and now have been his patient since 2013! He listens and cares which is hard to find in today’s healthcare! I’m glad he is younger than me so he won’t retire. I’m a Navy Veteran and mom! I’m extremely picky about my doctors!!

I was admitted for a 'thunderclap" headache, hallucinations, confusion, and speech difficulty. This doctor did not call for a neurologist; did not call for a stroke team. He treated me only for low oxygen and low blood pressure. Twenty-five days later I learned from a neurologist that the problem was a cerebral aneurysm, which left untreated, leads to stroke, coma, death. He released me 1 day later, despite the fact that i was confused and had no idea how long I'd been in the hospital. I even had a friend attempting to explain this.
