Dr. Ana Miguel Komotar, MD

I had an appointment at 4:30 pm for the first time. I was there at 4:00 pm to fill out all the paperwork. There was 6 patients before I got there and all of them had an appointment for the same time 4:30pm. I asked the secretary why everybody was schedule for the same time? The secretary was very rude and said that I have to wait. I told her to give me back my referral that I was going to leave, she said to go back to my primary doctor and get another referral because she was going to keep that one. I left very upset and I had to go back to my primary doctor to get a copy of my referral. While I was in Dr. Komotar, a Patient came and told me that she goes early to sign the doctor's signing sheet and then she comes back in three to four hours to see the doctor. This is insane, the doctor does not have any kind of respect and consideration with the patients time.

To charge $91 to review my application is an unreasonable charge. What did I receive from this consultation? Nothing -- so why should I pay? I called the doctor's billing and the doctor's office to dispute the charges and was told since Komotar is a specialist she can bill for a consultation. Reviewing my application is not worth $91.

She was very rude and tried to belitte my mother because she is on Medicaid. Unfortunately My mother had to go on medicaid recently because she needs medical insurance. Ana told my mom that she is wasting tax payers money and she didn't want to treat her. Well my brothers,sisters, and I all pay our taxes so I think my mother has every right to be on Medicaid because she needs it. Ana needs to learn something about compasion.
