He is a Very caring, compassionate Doctor & responds in a timely manner to any questions, concerns & needs.

Inattentive would be overstating it. He's barely a functional member of society. Instead of having in appointment, he listened to a few seconds of my medical history, then began shouting obscenities and chasing me out of his office. His staff was waiting outside nervously, they know he is off the rails and, if he ever knew how to communicate with patients, let alone offer medical care, he has forgotten. He needs to be checked out, the idea of him working anywhere near someone's brain is terrifying.

I WENT TO VISIT DR NEOPHYTIDES YESTERDAY, AND WAS MOST IMPRESSED WITH HIS EXPERTISE AND COMPETENCY. HE DID A COMPLETE NEUROLOGICAL WORKUP AND RECOMMENDED AN MRI TO LOOK FURTHER IN TO MY PROBLEM.I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY VISIT AND GRATEFUL TO HAVE FOUND SUCH A WONDERFUL PHYSICIAN.

I had gone to several Dr's for the pain in my left upper arm. Dr Neophytides was the only Dr to find something wrong, based on his test. He immediately sent me to the ER. Turns out, I had a very serious blood infection. I had surgery the next morning and spent 8 days in NYU Langone. I'm glad I saw him when I did.

The staff were courteous and we didn't have to wait long. Dr. Neophytides was obviously a busy man but was not rude, just moving quickly and not wasting time. He is not warm and fuzzy but he was very thorough and we didn't need warm and fuzzy; we needed competence and skill. He went the extra mile for us. We would definitely recommend him.

Here is a doctor that concentrates on his patients. His attention is not surface; it is dedicated to finding out the source and course of an ailment, and with keen insight into test results coming up with a diagnosis that can explain and improve a condition. Don't be put off by what might appear to be an officious manner. I wish he never retires. His knowledge, concern and judgment can help people.

After seeing dozens of doctors for a nerve injury resulting from a recent surgery, I have found Neophytids to be one of the most thorough of any medical professional I've consulted. He is difficult to read at first and a little intimidating, but he warmed up immediatley. I left his office with an honest and insightful diagnosis and prognosis, and a clear path to next steps. Neophytids is caring and compassionate, experienced and kind. If you want a small office environment and a doctor who has been around the block and then some, then this is the doctor for you. His receptionist Debbie is friendly and helpful, as well, promptly returning messages and greeting patients with kindness. I trust this dr's word and his promise to circle back with other physicans I'm consulting so that I can have a team approach to my medical needs and ongoing care. Give him a chance and you likely won't be disappointed.

One of the worst MDs I have ever seen. Terrible, terrible bedside manner, never communicated my case to referring neurosurgeon. Do not at any cost see this neurologist.... unless you want your condition to worsen! Such a pity that an institution such as NYU employs such a poor substandard individual !

Isn't it interesting that all the reviews about Dr. Neophytides are mostly 1 star and then a few 4 stars? Nothing in between and mostly bad... In others words, the few four star ratings must have been contributed by Dr. Neophytides himself or perhaps a friend. How would I know? Because I used to go to this doctor and I completely agree with the one star reviews! I left him because he was autocratic, imperious, and not very good at diagnosing my problem! He gave me one test and did not ask any in depth questions about my history. Also, I was in a great deal of pain from migraines and after a few of the usual drugs did not help he just gave up and told me to go to another doctor! Also, I saw him talking to a man in a wheelchair who was in obvious pain and who asked him for a small quantity of pain killers. He yelled, "NO!" at him right in front of me, reducing the man to tears. Not very empathetic... That poor man...

I feel so comfortable with Dr. Neophytides because he simply know what he is doing.
