Dr. Anish Umanglal Shah, MD

Outstanding doctor - spends a lot of time with me. Explains things well. Takes into consideration my family history. His exam is the most thorough possible, and I am amazed at the things that he sees way in the margins of my eye. Went once for eye injury. He examined me, finished the exam and said the situation would probably heal in 5 days but then said "wait - I just decided to go an extra step with you", and he stayed with me another 30 minutes ruling out additional complications. Showed genuine concern. Went over and beyond.

At annual vision check up,he checked very careless, I told him I could not see the big letter, without spending more time to find out the best prescription for me, he sent me home with the wrong prescription for lens,I could not see well, nausea, bunning eye, his nurse Alexeis checked again found he gave me a very wrong prescription, without apologize, He said I was over reacting.

I am very happy with Dr.Shah. My 2 things I do not enjoy. Long waiting time,and the time it takes for a call back phone call.

He is kind, funny and explains yhings in an easy to understand language. He has opersted on three members of my family, from cataract surgery to LASIK. He is also really a great surgeon and I will never go to anyone but him.

I was referred by my primary care physician who was telling me he knows him personally and that I would love him. So I had very expectations. Well, to say the least, Dr. Shah exceeded my expectations. He is caring, kind and genuinely interested in solving my eye issues. I have now referred 4 family members and 3 co-workers to him. A genuinely nice guy with an immense talent for what he doe.

I saw Dr.Shah for quite a while and I kept complaining of problems with my eyes not being in the right place and that they would roll out. It turns out that I had very significant strabismus in both my eyes. I saw him for at least 3 years and he never picked up that common diagnosis. I went to another doctor in the practice and he had me diagnosed within minutes. The office in general is terrible, too. I have waited nearly three hours for just a checkup.

My son has been seeing Dr. Shah for the past 10 years. He is 16 now and began at 6. My son has Aspergers and was very shy (to say the least) at 6 years old and Dr. Shah was amazing with him. I would not take my son to see anyone else. He has been kind, caring, and has even made my son laugh. My son has always felt comfortable with him and the appointments have gone smoothly. I would recommend him without hesitation!!
