Dr. Anna Catherine Kirby, MD

In my mid-60s my pelvic prolapse took a few turns for the worse, and last summer and fall I found myself nearly immobilized by my condition. My gynecologist referred me to Dr. Kirby for surgery to put my organs back in place again. My surgery went without incident, though there was one aspect of my prolapse that persisted, largely due to my aging tissues and the stresses caused by childbirth. I can live with that. After watching a few YouTube videos depicting my specific repairs, I have enormous respect for Dr. Kirby and her assistant. The surgery looks to be very difficult and requires the utmost precision as well as careful planning. I highly recommend Dr. Kirby for prolapse surgery. Not only is she a very able surgeon, she's also a lovely, caring person.

Irreversible lifelong damage to my uterus during a simple procedure, something that could have been easily avoided. Avoid at all cost.

As I came into my 60's I began suffering with urinary incontinence, horrific, if you're an active person. Dr. Kirby has been the only physician who has been able to give me help with it. I worked as a pharmacist earlier in life, the intense schooling of medicine that we undergo has enabled me to differentiate between the savvy doctors and he mediocre, Dr. Kirby is a good doctor. The negative post I read did not give enough information for me to determine if the doctor was at fault in her circumstance. During my years in pharmacy I saw people experience horrendous, unexpected (sometimes life threatening) responses to treatments that other people had no problem with. Without further information, my guess is that it was the treatment that caused her (unexpected) negative response, not the doctor.

Chose to ignore my symptoms and treated with something that ultimately led to a severe health issue that could have been avoided. When I saw her the last time she left the exam room multiple times for something unrelated to my visit. Because I her I am in recovery for over a year.
