Dr. Ansu Varughese Joy, MD

She is the worst Endocrinologist that I have seen in 25 years of treating my condition. Ignorant, arrogant and cares less about any patient. Money - is her name of the game. Charge insurance for unnecessary procedures, perform unnecessary and costly procedures and avoid any useful treatments. Never answered any questions or helped me in any way.

Waited over n over to see her. Finally left, as I could wait any longer. Our time is a important to me as her time is to her.

I have seen Dr. Joy for over 6 years. She was okay at her job. However when I called to have my medicine refilled I was told her practice just discharged me! I didn't get any notice and the reason was, because I canceled and reschedule the last visit. STAY AWAY! They do not accommodate your schedule and will leave you high and dry. I am on life saving medication, but they left me in a real bind with no regard to the patient. Lucky for me, I have awesome doctors were I life and actual found one who won't just drop me. I can't believe they would treat a patient like that after going to them over 6 years!

Dr. Joy is very kind. We had high hopes there. But this past year has left us more than discouraged. After a death of a parent causing an appointment to be forgotten (go figure) we were charged $25 for the missed appointment even after calling to explain. Since then even when calling to reschedule an appointment we have been charged for missing the original. (Also $25). On a recent appointment for an annual thyroid scan, I had some concerns to discuss with Dr. Joy. I was given the choice of either making another appointment to do so or rescheduling the scan because it would "take too long to do both." Mind you the scan took all of 10 minutes MAX. What happened to giving time for an appointment? Is a 20 minute appointment too much to ask? Feeling rushed like that when I'm paying top dollar (and then on top of it paying for rescheduled appointments when life throws a curveball) - just doesn't feel right anymore.

Everyone there is very respectful and super nice. The wonderful ladies at the front dest all get to know you at her office and Dr. Joy herself is a great endocrinologist and super knowledgable. Great office, highly recommended.

I waited one hour and then walked out so I was never seen. There was no advisory that she was behind schedule and I was simply told that medical practice was not predictable. Had I been advised I could have gone out to the car and taken a nice nap. Come on!

She is patient and kind with thyroid knowledge.

Dr. Joy is knowledgeable, up to date with medications, and a nice person. You can tell she enjoys her career choice. When we tried a new medication and it didn't work for me, we went back to the original I had been taking for 12 years. (I had asked to try the new med). You will be very happy with Dr. Joy
