Dr. Anthony Firilas, MD

This was my very first surgery. Dr. Firilas was absolutely excellent! I hope I won’t ever need him again BUT IF I do I know I will be in good hands. Professional, straight to the point, funny, motivating and I will highly recommend him to all my family, friends and coworkers!!! Thank you Doctor Firilas for being so awesome!!!

I don’t as scheduled for two procedures after the initial appt. I spoke with the scheduling agent multiple times for each procedure which were are different locations. Each procedure required a prep measures. I went to each location and neither place performed the procedures. The first Roper location said they didn’t know how to do the test. The second one was over an hour from my home. And both my husband and I took off work. While I’m the parking lot, I received a call saying that the person doing the procedure was not available and that I should have been notified the day before. Shouldn’t more than one person be available? This is a brief summary of my experiences with Dr Firilas. I spent extensive amounts of time speaking with the office staff to be misdirected for my tests. I drive over an hour to his office and received a bill for services (charges were $300 plus for a visit) that he did not provide. Unfortunately, I cannot give lower than one star for his rating. This is my… worse experience ever with a doctor’s office. This is also the only one that I have felt the need to rate and to warn other potential patients. The incompetence was incredibly and I just really felt like crying out of frustration with the preps and time from work to see no positive results.

Saw this doc for a rectal prolapse and he didn’t want to help me. Told me to do more exercises. Saw Margarita Murphy and she immediately ordered tests and scheduled my first surgery.

Very professional great surgeon

The entire staff at the Hosp were awesome. I only had a short visit with the office staff but I def. would highly recommend Dr. Ferrillis.

Bedside manner is extremely important to me. He was awesome!

Dr. Firilas stepped in and solved my condition in three weeks from initial consult to successful surgery. He was so compassionate, engaged and the right expert for me to work in resolving my ongoing health issues in a timely and efficient manner. Dr. Firilas provided me with options going into my surgery, he explained the very worst and best case situations with realistic outcomes. While my surgery was extensive, I was in the very competent hands of a skilled surgeon who was willing to bring in additional surgical specialists during my procedure, if needed. The entire surgical team was exceptional and I would highly recommend Dr. Firilas to anyone who needs specialized treatment and is seeking a highly qualified surgeon.

I needed to have surgery and went to Dr. Firilas. He explained everything in detail with my husband and self and I was scheduled for surgery. Surgery went great, follow-up was a week after surgery. I have done excellent. This doctor sits down and explains everything and is very understanding, caring and compassionate. I was very impressed and will recommend anyone with colorectal problems to see him.

So far the procedure he performed on me went off without a hitch. Although he wasn't exactly forthcoming about how long it would take to recover.
