Dr. Anthony F Guanciale, MD

Have had many surgeries by this dr. The last surgery has crippled me to where I can't walk over 20 ft before I have to sit down. He is as bad as Dr. Christopher Duntsch who lost his license & is prison, seriously! Find a good dr!

Heart patients beware. Had to use crutches to go to my 1 yr follow up visit. He ignored my failed surgery symptoms to tell me about his work. When asked for help to walk he did not answer and walked out of room like a spoiled child. He has signed my death cert. The constant stress and depression of his life altering failed spinal surgery has intensified my heart failure. Over 2 yrs later, still unable to walk without walker. He made his money. I got a death sentence. I should have read the negative comments before allowing him near me. Run away fast.

This man is the worst Dr. of any type that I have ever had the unfortunate experience to visit. He left me unable to walk after a surgery that he convinced me that I critically needed. I do believed that he lied. After reviewing my medical records and his own notes regarding my surgery, there was not one word about the critical damage he was fixing. He has robbed me of the rest of my life as I once knew it. A review of his Ratings suggest that he has more than his share of failed spinal surgeries. All prospective patients, beware of this arrogant, pretender. Don't let a simple smile fool you.

Dr. Guanciale is an absolute egomaniac who's only priority is himself. Patient care is not in his vocabulary nor in his concern. If he cripples you, too bad. Beware of this butcher. Find a 5 star physician with no negative comments. My lesson came too late.

HORRIBLE bed side mannor. Very rude, impatient, and unwilling to answer my questions.

This man is rude and doesn’t want to answer any questions. My mom got a terrible infection where she had her surgery 3 months ago with infected fluid building up in her back. He refuses to take any responsibility and has been very rude to my family when we try to ask questions. My mother has been in the hospital very sick and now has a pic line to try and cure the infection. Don’t waste your time, PLEASE see someone who actually cares about their patients!

Completely rude. Cussed at my mother during her appointment. Absolutely a jerk! Do not take your family members to this poor excuse for a Doctor. He needs to remember why he got into this area of expertise and that is to help people!

He performed neck and 2 spinal surgeries on me and I will use him again when and if I should need it.

My husband was referred to this doctor for neck, shoulder and arm pain the doctor therefore told my husband that he needed L4 and L5 surgery on his neck, my husband and I arrived at the hospital for his scheduled surgery after being prepped for surgery Dr. Guanaciale came into room with a demeanor as if this was an inconvenience he was very distant, unfriendly with a terrible bedside manor. He barely said hello, took a marker and made 5 dots on my husbands neck telling him this is where the incision would be made. I proceeded to ask the doctor some questions which I think offended him and made him uncomfortable he stumbled over his words almost like he didn't know my husbands case or file he got very defensive with my questions about the procedure and what to expect after the surgery, asking if my husband would be free of pain my line of questions made him so uncomfortable he therefore turned and walked out of the room leaving my husband and myself in a disbelief of the events that… had just unfolded we just looked at each other lost for words with our mouths dropped to the floor! Upon returning a few minutes later he said that he didn't find this surgery to be necessary at this time and again turned and left the room. Had I not done some research and ask questions my husband would of had an unnecessary surgery that would have probably left him crippled because he doesn't have mobility in his arms to have done the physical therapy that would have been required to heal his neck post surgery. I have never in my life experienced such behavior from a professional of his status. Anthony Guanaciale was cold, rude, contradictory, and down right mean! Anthony Guanaciale is a person that has become detached from having any sympathy for others well being. I would by all cost AVOID THIS DOCTOR! It scares me to think, had I not been there what the outcome of my husbands future health would be like. This has definitely been an eye opener we will never put our full trust in a medical professional without doing extensive research. We trusted our PCP who referred us to this "doctor" so now I'm in question to myself wether or not our PCP has our best interest at heart. Don't assume all is good just because your PCP referred you. Do your homework!

I will always be indebted to him for drastically improving my quality of life! Even years later, I reflect upon how lucky I was to be referred to him and want to repay that gesture. Time spent waiting was well worth it. He's the best!
