I first saw Dr Russo in 2008 for a neck injury. Based on my age (26) he wanted to try less invasive means to fix my issue. We went through a year and a half worth of ESI’s and physicals therapy. After the last injection I received that only gave me days of relief I contacted his team to be seen about surgery. He was thorough with the different surgery options that were available, he didn’t want to Fuse my neck so we opted for an ADR Artificial Disc Replacement. I will tell you from the moment I woke up in the recovery room I already felt 100 times better than I did before surgery. I was riding snow machines 6 weeks post surgery and haven’t had a single issue since. Fast forward 11 years... I have been having chronic lower back pain for years but always strayed away from any type of surgery because honestly it scared the crap out of me thinking about lower back surgery. During this time I moved cross country and received numerous Doctors telling me that I needed to have surgery. It… wasn’t until this year, when I moved back to Montana that I felt comfortable with getting the procedure completed by a doctor that I knew and trusted to get the job done correctly. Right now I am just over 2 weeks post op from an L4-L5 fusion and am feeling great! Other than a little stiffness in the morning and if I sit too long I really don’t have any pain. My decision to wait until I was able to have Dr Russo complete my surgery was one of the best decisions I have made.

I had three appointments & went through two rounds of physical therapy at six weeks each round. Last visit I waited an hour past my appointment time and still didn't see the doctor. Because I'm a dialysis patient they refuse to provide any drugs for my pain. They said the only thing they would do for me was exercise or a TENS machine. What a big waste of time!

Total, inflexible autocrat; it's his protocol that's important, not the nature of your visit or health complaint. Accused me of being "rude" to his Office Staff, because I declined to have an x-ray. I brought MRI's along with the Top Neurosurgeon at the VA's Salt Lake City location. Wanted to discuss the findings & receive a second opinion regarding the gravity of my disease. Never got that far because when I realized, after driving 165 miles and waiting one and a half hours in the waiting area, that this guy was lecturing me about 'respect'. I am 70 years old. I was not there for the lecture.

An arrogant individual who talks down to his clients and assumes an over-inflated sense of self-importance. I suggest avoiding him with a ten-foot pole...

Dr Russo performed spine surgery on me. An injury occurred during surgery, leaving me with a negative outcome that has impaired my health severely on a daily basis.

Caring and concerned. Excellent results. He cared more than all the other doctors I had seen before. He fixed a very complex problem and now I feel better than I have in years.

The only spine surgeon who listens carefully and cares about long term outcome. I had excellent results.

He was the only doctor in the Northwest that would see my husband and treat him He has given my husband a whole new spine and a whole new life. If you need back help surgery excetera please see this man. He is an angel walking among us.
