Dr. Aqeel A. Gillani, MD

He's pleasant but clinically he failed to tell me about a mass that could be residual cancer; he refused to do a CAT scan and a second opinion physician got a CAT scan. Nodules which may be metastasis in my lungs have doubled in size in only three months - what if we had waited the six months he wanted to wait? Now I have to find out if I'm stage 4 or have primary lung cancer. Also, told me nodules were too small to biopsy last year but they biopsied one this year that was the same size as the one he told me was too small a year ago. Finally, all he ever did was listen to my lungs. Never once examined liver, abdomen, etc. except maybe at first visit - can't remember. Going to him may have considerably shortened my life. Stay away from the entire CR Wood Cancer Center. Made me feel like I was over-reacting when I was asking for common sense follow-up.

Fantastic! You can tell Dr. Gillani loves his job. Wonderful attitude and probably the most thorough check-ups I've ever had. My appointment was one of the last ones of the day and never once did I feel like I was being rushed.Also the assistant, is just as attentive as Dr.Gillani.You'll be in great hands with him!

Dr. Gillani was great. He spent a great deal of time, discussing my condition in depth, offering his insight and multiple perspectives. He is knowledgeable, explains things in language I could understand and offered options for treatment. I was extremely impressed with this office visit.

This was my first time to ever visit Dr. Gillani or a Doctor in his area of expertise. He is amazing and I would recommend him with no reservation. He took time to make sure I understood why I was there and left me feeling very confident. He is friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. He is a real asset to the field of Hematology.

I went to my appointment with many questions and concerns but was cut short by Dr Gillani. He told me that he was going to ask the questions and I should wait until he was done. After I listened he cut me short again and he left the room and did not return. He was also very rude to my husband who also had questions. He also prescribed a medication that upon reading the insert it listed a few ailments that I have and that people that have these ailments should not take that medication.

My husband and I were very happy with the caring and intelligent way in which Dr. Gallani took care of not just him, but also me. He took the whole family into consideration when explaining the type of cancer, treatment, options, hopeful outcomes and side effects. He was open and honest at all times. He took the time we needed to absorb the life altering news, and then fully explained everything to us and was very accurate with how things would be. We would recommend him and his team to anyone who finds themselves in this very scary situation. We thank him and appreciate all he did.

Dr. Aqeel A. Gillani MD has treated me since 2005 when I was first diagnosed with cancer. He is one of the most professional and personal doctors whom I have ever met. It is easy to see the dedication he puts forth treating his patients. I consider myself lucky to have had him on my side in my time of need.
