Dr. Arnold James Brender, MD

This Dr. and staff was awful. In short I am preparing a formal complaint for the medical board of California for discrimination, malpractice and many other egregious offenses. You can see my entire review on yelp and google. This doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine. If you have had a similar experience, I urge you to file a complaint with the medical board of california and let people know on yelp and google.

I've been going to Dr Brender for 10 years now. My work required a yearly physical to maintain health insurance at a normal monthly cost. He's very thorough and he takes the time to explain everything and to look at all of the blood work and explain what it all means. I always enjoy that he is willing to take the time and seems to really care about my health. I had a hard time shaking a bronchitis I had in 2013 and rather than putting me back on antibiotics - he recommended saline nasal spray - which really worked. I think he takes a good balanced approach to health.

This quack actually had the nerve to yell at me and kick me out of his office, after telling me it was my job to know what I needed to have tested after a blood draw. Excuse me? Isn’t that your job???? Stay away from this whack job!

The first time I went to this Dr. he kept me waiting for well over an hour past the appointment time. When I finally saw him I found his overall behavior and demeanor to be very strange. I found him to be great at talking but extremely poor at listening. Still, I decided to give him a 2nd chance. The 2nd appointment was a repeat of the first - extremely late to see me, talked a mile a minute and didn't seem to hear or listen to anything I was saying. Worst physician experience I have ever had. I will not be going back.

He is extremely non professional as a Dr. If you're interested in his political views and stale jokes, he's your man... if you are looking for a kind compassionate Human being, keep walking. He's all about himself, period, point blank...

I've seen Brenderonly twice last week I was a few mins. Late When he came in he said: "first of all if you're late & secondly refused to be weighed"" I won't treat patients who don't do what I tell them"!! I told him he lacked compassion & he said "if you want compassion go see a psychiatrist"! What a Jerk! He keeps patients waiting an average of 43 minutes! I told him "we're done"!

I like Dr. Brender. He takes the time to explain everything to you and go over your information. He is thorough and kind. He even gave me some health tips. I'd recommend Dr. Brender. The nurse was super nice as well.

I waited 1.5 hours and never was seen by the doctor. The admin is HORRIBLE. So abrupt and rude! She makes everyone uncomfortable. Doctor Brender seems fair and compassionate, but I didn't spend enough time seeing him to know how I would rate his style as a doctor. Here's what I will say, there is absolutely no reason to have a patient wait over an hour. Also, staff should be trained to communicate in a friendly manner that there is a delay and be more apologetic. I walked and won't be back and neither will my husband. Boom two lost paying patients just like that. Very sad that this couldn't have been resolved by a quick update on the delay. I paid a nanny to watch the baby and my husband took the day off work. We lost a lot of money due to this situation. This is not ok

If you take an early morning appointment you get right in but if you delay until afternoon then you are going to wait. Not by any fault of Dr.Brender. If you ask questions then he will answer them he takes his time with each patient as needed. He is very good and a rare find.

Dr. Brender is a very nice and very smart man. He spends time explaining things to the patient. However, I've had to wait over and hour EVERY time i've had an appt. That, and I can't get to get and appointment any sooner than a week and a half away (at the SOONEST.) Be advised, good doctor, but be prepared to wait.
