Dr. Arturo Olivera, M.D., A.G.A.F JR.

At first appointment, Dr. Olivera was nice and professional, and everything went smoothly. After that he was near-impossible to get on the phone or get a response off the portal. His instructions on next steps for me were a bit vague, but it took a week to get him on the phone to clarify. Meanwhile I was just left wondering. Calling the office usually just leads to a voicemail, which you may or may not get an office response from. It took more days than he said to get test results, again leaving me wondering what was going on. After a few weeks on the medication he prescribed, it seemed to not be working well. Again, it was VERY difficult to get any sort of reply from him; taking days and multiple messages. Eventually I did, and he asked me to come in the following day so he could examine me. I had to leave work early to meet the appointment. I came in and the staff said he was running "a little behind". I waited two hours passed the appointment time, and eventually left without him… even seeing me. He wrote an apology on the portal and asked me to come in again first thing in the morning. At this point I expressed my frustrations with how hard it was to get him to respond to my calls/messages. Still, I came in again, knowing I'd have to come into work late to meet THIS appointment. After ten minutes the staff told me he was running "a little behind" but he would be at the office soon. He had forgotten about the appoint and went to his hospital office instead. I do not recommend this doctor, because he's terrible at follow-up. UPDATE: So, after all of this, Dr. Olivera's office tried to bill me for the two appointments he failed to show up for. I had not received any invoices in the mail, but suddenly I was getting calls from a collection agency. This guy sent me to collections for services he did not provide. Avoid this doctor and his office.

This doctor is irresponsible and will not follow up with patients accordingly. He took over a week just to give me my results after I called numerous times. He also told me he would send to my pharmacy a prescription and he never did so I had to call again. Very unorganized
