Dr. Asif Cochinwala, MD

I have been going to Dr. Cochinwala for over 15 years. I have psoriatic arthritis and he has been great. He listens to everything I tell him and also asks questions. He explains to me why the kind of treatment and what it is doing for me. Some say he does not spend enough time with you, but my experience is he will be there as long as you want to talk to him. He has been done with his exam and ready but when I want to talk he sits and listens to me. He treats me like a person and not a number. I go every 8 weeks and he remembers what we talked about before and asks me about the situation. I love his staff, friendly, caring and I never have to wait more that a few minutes for my appointments.

Dr. Cochinwala has been treating my Sjogrens and RA for many years. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The wait time is minimal. Dr. C is always very attentive and responds to every question or concern I have. I like that he can do the testing I need in his office and I don't have to go elsewhere for my Bone Scans and MRI's. After my diagnosis, I saw 2 other Rheumatologists before I found Dr. Cochinwala - I am very happy I found him!

I have been going to Dr. Cochinwala for about 15 years, and have felt that I have always received the best of care. My rheumatoid arthritis is no longer a problem in my life - it is under control. Dr. C has a wonderful staff and I have never in all these years had to wait more than five or so minutes for my appointments.

Dr. Cochinwala is great. He basically cured me of a debilitating gout condition. I've been pain free for 10+ years.

I have been seeing Dr. Cichinwala for 17 years. I have rheumatoid arthritis and we’ve been through thick and thin together with my disease and handling it. He listens to me and just doesn’t rush through the appointment. I’ve cried and talked about many stressful times with my life. He sits and listens and is genuinely concerned. I’ve recommended him to people all the time. I have stayed with him all these years because he does what is needed for my medical care. I am very proactive in my medical issues so I know what I am saying.

Dr Cochinwala is not very forthcoming in regards to my healthcare concerns nor does he give you the impression that he cares. I have since fired him due to overall vagueness and rudeness. I told him on my initial visit how concerned I was with my health. After he confirmed I have Sjogrens, which I will now get another opinion. I felt like I had to pry out information. As I left from my second appointment, his office person told me I had to sign a agreement form the I would only go to an MD. Ophthalmologist to determine if I can tolerate Plaquinil. this form did not state anywhere nor was there any reminder note with the form of this MD requirement. My Eye Doc for over 30 years is a DO. after my eye Doc did the exam and signed the paper, Dr C's office turned it down. also, he did not address my concern for future physical activities. I had to call him back to get an answer to my biggest concern. regarding the form, my new Rheumatologist said they do not make such requirements for… an MD to examine my eyes.
