Dr. Aslam M Loya, MD

Dr Loya’s office is extremely slow. Expect long waits. I had to question if he was even there. My father had a 9am appointment and wasn’t seen until 10:30am. Dr Loya is rude, demeaning, and dismissive. His staff is incompetent and will lie. Also, they will not return phone calls at all. They have failed to do the required paperwork to get my father a wheelchair for almost a year now. I have finally convinced Dad to find another doctor.

I was very sad with the way my visit with Dr. Aslam Loya went. I was seen recently as a new patient and was referred by a trusted colleague. Which surprised me by the way the visit proceeded and how he handled his bedside manner. Dr Loya came in and left the door open the entire time of my office visit during clinic hours (HIPPA violation) and proceeded to talk down to me... example... he would talk to his medical scribe and thinking he was still talking to his scribe he would look at me and say “answer me”. Very demeaning. He changed ALL of my medications I’ve been taking successfully for 6 years (even though I kept telling him which medications I was currently taking) and offered no explanation for the changes. He made me feel so intimidated at the time I just swallowed the way I was feeling and left the matter alone. I regret doing so. I called and left a message with one of the ladies up front for one of the medical assistants to call me back in regards to a question I had in… regards to my new medications. I never got a call back. Since I never got a call back, gave them 4 days, I went to the office to ask the status of my message I had left for the medical assistant. The lady who services the front window up front was quite rude whenever I came in and asked such a question. Only reason why I put 1 stars is because of their medical assistant, Mickey, and their medical scribe were so sweet. Unfortunately I will not be coming back.

Office never returns calls have been trying to get refills for over a month , but not once was I told I needed a follow up till I was out of my meds for a week. Sandy front office person has been very rude in several conversations with her. Was given an appointment without letting me know what it was for I ended up canceling because I had a fee to pay upfront that i was never notified on.

Today was the first time I went with my mom to her Dr. appointment. The staff was very nice to me and my mom. We didn’t have to wait long and they ran 3 tests on my mom and then met with Dr. Loya and he went over all of the results and was very kind to my mom. I also will be seeing him as a new patient next month.

He just prescribes medicine, I tell him about my pain and he doesnt listen he don't care about his patients :( wish I could give zero stars
