After suffering a stroke and an AVM rupture last year, followed by a craniotomy, my entire life changed overnight. Before all of this, I was a healthy 30 year old who had never dealt with any major medical issues, so navigating recovery was completely new and overwhelming for me. Throughout this journey, Dr. Yafeh has been an incredible source of support, guidance, and I am still under her care today. She is one of the most compassionate and thorough physicians I have ever met. She regularly checked in on me, followed up when needed, and prescribed medications that helped significantly with the severe headaches I experienced after surgery. I am completely weaned off meds now. At the same time, she never made me feel pressured to take medications if I wasn't comfortable. Instead, she always listened to my concerns and worked with me to create a treatment plan that felt right for me. What I appreciate most is that she never rushes through appointments. She takes the time to answer… every question and explain things in a way that makes sense. As someone who had never gone through anything like this before, I had a lot of questions, and she never once made me feel bad for asking them. She listens and makes you feel heard. Dr. Yafeh also took the time to educate both me and my husband about what recovery would look like and what challenges we might face along the way. She helped us understand how to navigate this new reality and gave my husband guidance on how he could best support me during my recovery. She has been incredibly helpful with disability paperwork, work restrictions, and helping me obtain modified duty so I could safely transition back to work. In addition, her staff has always been kind and helpful. Most importantly, Dr. Yafeh helped me regain confidence in myself after a life changing event. She helped me adjust to my new normal and reminded me to give myself grace during the recovery process. I am grateful for her expertise, patience, kindness, and unwavering support throughout one of the most difficult times in my life last year.

Dr. Banafsheh Yafeh has done a great job for my Mom. My Mom has considered Dr. Yafeh one of the best Doctors she has seen. She always takes the time to listen to my Mom, now in her early 80s, and had a stroke a few years back. My Mom always feels seen and heard by Dr. Banafsheh. Dr Yafeh is a great doctor and even better diagnostician. When my dad started having strange neurological symptoms I asked a nurse I know who she’d recommend. She told me Dr Yafeh cares about her patients and responds to their calls and questions, even after hours. It only took a few weeks to get an appointment (rare) and when we saw her, she narrowed it down to 3 conditions. She ordered extensive tests to confirm her suspicions, and referred us to a specialist for the rare disorder my dad ended up having. She is always helpful about getting tests and referrals, and always kind. Highly recommend her and her office.
