Dr. Cherny has performed volunteer surgery in Mexico on congenitally deformed children. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a fellow in the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Cherny is a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and as an instructor in Basic Life …Support. Dr. Cherny is the former chairman of the department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lutheran General Surgery.
