Dr. Benjamin Chukwuka Akosa, MD

I am a 76 year old female who has suffered from depression my entire life. I suffer from "treatment-resistent" depression meaning an antidepressant works for me for a period of time and then suddenly stops working. I have found Dr. Akosa to be very knowledgable and caring. He is willing to try many treatments to find the right "fit". He is very patient, positive, and upbeat. It was obvious during my first visit that he truly cares about his patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I've been seeing Dr. Akosa for over a year and think he's the best. A good listener, responsive, compassionate, always on time. He's very collaborative in developing an effective long-term treatment plan. He also has a good sense of humor (this is important to me). Just a likable person overall with an impressive education. He has a rather elegant manner, though not pretentious, and I think he's meticulous about patient care. I'm comfortable trusting him, knowing that he considers my ultimate wellbeing a high priority.
