Dr. Benjamin Sooyoung Uh, MD

I just came from an appointment with Dr. Uh and only wish I had known of him sooner. Not only did he diagnose me correctly (which other doctors were unable to do), but he was courteous, professional and friendly. He took his time with me and patiently answered all of my questions. I would recommend him without hesitation. In addition, my appointment was right on time and his office staff friendly and efficient. An additional plus is that his office is conveniently located in my home town.

I don't know where to begin The staff is horrific They don't know what the word followup means They don't call back They don't schedule the right appointment's You get there and your sitting around for 2 hours to bee seen They have 0 follow-up skills Thank god the doctor is nice Never the less.. Do not waste your time Find another doctor that responds back to you It is a tragedy what goes on here Don't take my word as a former patient , try them:)

So many errors from office, and Dr. Uh's complete unwillingness to get back to me to let me know my MRI results. Sending an incomplete prescription to PT. Sending half of the requests to the MRI center instead of all of them. And many more problems. And some significant problems, untreated. Really, really bad. Probably best to stay away. But the office manager was very helpful

They don't call or hang up phone on u. Refuse to fill out forms. Lazy as can be. Always on there cell and eating and socializing w themselves. Lie,laugh at u etc.

Dr Uh is a compassionate and skilled doctor. There is no question about that. And it turns out, the staff and the office manager are equally compassionate and treat the patients with patience, compassion and respect. I say this with great certainty, as a result of a recent experience. Patients may, more often than not, react unkindly too waiting periods, whether in the office, awaiting a return call from the office or authorizations for procedures. I was one of those patients. The staff on the other hand reacted to my dissatisfaction with the upmost empathy and understanding for my situation. The situation was remedied by the staff and office manager Annmarie, with kindness and efficiency.

I have never experienced the disrespect of calls not being returned for appointments or questions. These people at the Long Beach office are the worse. If he wasn't so personable, I would look for someone else!

It's a shame because Dr. Uh is a good doctor. But his staff takes weeks to return calls, if at all, or call your insurance company or get approvals. I called their office several weeks ago when they said they would send a script to my PT group. Of course, it was never sent. Dr. Uh may need to change his name to "Uh Oh" for the incompetence of his staff.

We did wait more then a couple minutes every appointment . However the doctor never had one foot out the door on us. He always reviewed my x rays explained everything to me the best he could and provided logical things to help my ankle as it healed . He didn't cast me or push therapy or anything . uneccesary. My ankle got better in the amount of time he said it would and I was able to bear weight on it comfortably etc. he's very funny and personable . Excellent bedside manner . However the office staff definitely wasn't great. They told me I needed a referral , I told them no.... she insisted . Then called back apologizing she was wrong ... same with them saying I needed a co pay etc .

Office never once returned a phone call. Went for MRI prescription was not sent from doctor. I was referred to another doctor for therapy and he asked for a copy of mei report when I arrived it wasn't there waste of my time and a visit. It's taken me about a month with no success to get them to return a phone call to express scripts. Receptionist fills out doctors paperwork while you wait to see him. Doctor seems very nice but if the office is completely incompitent I would not recommend.
