Dr. Bertram Lewis, MD

Dr Bertram Lewis gave me a number of options to treat my condition, allowing me the opportunity to choose. Three different procedures were performed and I am completely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Dr Lewis.

This happen about one year ago. Had kidney stone blasted. So over that weekend .I lost large amt. of blood. Was Not able to get in touch with doctor.when I did get into his office. All I could ser is his PA. She was very rude and yank tubing out. I then went to ER because pain was very bad. Had serious kidney infection.and when he cam to see me in hosp. He said sorry Im going on vacation tomorrow. Found out later the stone was never removed...

You shouldn't need to call his office 3 times to get an appointment. Be prepared for a long wait before you see the doctor. He is a fantastic doctor and will explain and take the necessary time with you. But whoever answers the phone....and it's mostly a recording saying they are with other patients and will get back to you....needs to pick up the messages and respond to the caller in a reasonable time frame....the same day.

Dr Lewis is very thorough and explains everything in a very clear understandable manner he excellent bedside manner and I will always use him in the future if the need arises

Doctor Lewis is a very good and compassionate doctor. He is very busy so you may have to wait but it is worth it to get an accurate diagnosis and high quality care. He took the time to explain every thing to me .

The reason for my visit was simple. I had been a patient in the Zephyrhills Florida Hospital and Dr Lewis had been assigned as my urologist during m,y stay. He was not my primary doctor only overseeing my catheter. On my discharge instructions it said I needed to follow up with Dr Lewis so I made an appointment even thought there was not in my mind any reason for the visit. After waiting in the lobby for very close to two hours past my appointment time I was invited back to an exam room. After waiting there for another 20 minutes I got up and walked out. After the first hour in the lobby I had ask the receptionist twice how soon I would be seen. See told me I was next. Certainly not the receptionist's fault but a patient should not have to wait 2 hours for such a visit. If there is a problem such as an emergency or a patient with a complex problem that delays the doctor I should be told and ask if it would be better to reschedule.

Very competient and capable both Dr. Lewis and his staff, he was able to relieve my problem with a minor surgery and all problems have been resolved
