Dr. Cooper and her office manager-husband are a great team. Dr. Cooper is pragmatic, thoughtful and understanding. She is interested in many aspects of psychiatry and talks about speakers she's seen or related tidbits she's heard at seminars. She truly cares about her patients, instructing them to call her cell phone at any time if there is an emergency. Dr. Cooper works in her office on Tuesdays and Fridays, which makes scheduling a little more difficult. Her husband enters all of the information himself into the computer, which takes a little time, but time well-worth spending. He enjoys talking with patients and these small interactions seem to brighten his day. Dr. Cooper is a rare find in this area - I am happy to recommend her!

I've been working with Dr. Cooper as my Psycharist, but not my therapist for about 2 months. Initially I had hoped to work with her on both sides of my treatment, but she couldn't fit me in her schedule for talk therapy. That's ended up being great. She is a very nice woman with a mothering "bedside" manner and she's great about keeping up with prescription refills and follow up appointments. However, as a woman in her mid-twenties, I think I'm more comfortable with a younger woman as my therapist. I find that Dr. Cooper has an wisdom of the ages-type of approach when I prefer a more current understanding of my social and career challenges.
