Summary
I see clients who are: feeling drained, depressed or anxious; struggling with feeling that something is “wrong” with them because of their current challenges; having difficulty navigating a relationship that they aren’t sure is good for them; struggling to “get over” something emotional they’ve gone through; having difficulty finding meaning or purpose in their life or wondering about the greater story they are living out and how the psyche is pushing them towards this.
I use practices such as EMDR, mindfulness, archetypal theory, communication skills, emotion regulation techniques, tools for increasing self-awareness, dreamwork, and working with inner parts.
I believe the goal of therapy is not necessarily to help clients pursue a “happier” life, or even self-awareness for the sake of self-awareness, but to better be able to bring a more soulful way of living back out into their lives; their families and relationships, communities, and the greater world.
In my free time, I enjoy …reading, gardening, hiking with my Corgi and doing art with my young daughter (usually involving some combination of clay, beeswax crayons, string, paint, pine cones and stinky markers).
