Dr. Brent Tierney, MD

He was not a sarcoma specialist as far as I found out. I was high risk as I had blood clots and many other conditions. He had to stop my surgery. I ended up asking him if he was letting me die as after surgery i felt like i got put off for months. I got a referral to mayo clinic in Minnesota and underwent a very long and radical surgery. I lost a kidney & sarcoma was everywhere. Mayo saved my life. I know I was near death after that radical surgery. I spent 8 days in the hospital and have been cancer free for 18 months so far. Dr. Tierney and staff are nice but I needed a sarcoma specialist. Finally feeling kind of alive 2 years later.

I was nervous having read the bad review about Dr Tierney. However, I was pleasantly surprised at my entire experience. The staff was friendly, professional and very compassionate. Dr Tierney came in and was pleasant, very helpful and explained everything in great detail. He made me feel like he truly cared about my care and that he valued my thoughts and questions. I was very impressed by the staff and Dr Tierney from the minute I stepped foot into the office. Also I am very happy with Dr Tierney's surgical skills also. He did an amazing job. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor and staff. A++++ for you all!

As a patient I felt as though he failed to listen to me first as a person and secondly as a woman. Although he is very knowledgeable, his bedside manner is horrible. He is very cut and dry, it's black or white with no other choice but the ones that he makes. Always felt like I was just money going into the cash register and nothing more. When I have had a problem post surgical and had to call the front desk I felt like I was a burden to them, especially to Trisha.
