Dr. Niyati Nadkarni, MD

It's difficult to think of cancer as a "best experience", but having Dr Nadkarni as my physician truly made it the best experience it possibly could have been, considering. She was kind, thorough, NEVER once made me feel like my questions were irrelevant, never made me feel rushed or that she had to move on to next patient. She spent time explaining everything clearly, sometimes more than once. She warmly welcomed other members of my family into conferences and made sure they were included in the discussion and their questions answered. She followed up with me by phone, as well as office visits, and she stopped by each of the five days I was hospitalized (sometimes more than once) Once, when she was running late for a followup appointment after my surgery (and she wasn't that late; my appointment was at 3:00 and it was about 3:10), she sent someone in to apologize for the wait, and then repeatedly thanked me for waiting once she came in. I've NEVER had a doctor do that, ever. … She's also very honest and tells you exactly what is what. She's great; I feel very lucky to have her leading me on this journey. Also, she has a great staff. All of the nurses, assistants, office people make you feel welcome and valued.

When I found out I had cancer I was in shock. She explained everything so well to me, sat and held my hand and Truly has my best interest at heart.

Rude and had no empathy

As a teenager with a “rare” case I truly was blessed to have Nadkarni take on my case that had nothing to do with oncology. Since day one of meeting her she was super kind, understanding and told me everything she thought and if I was comfortable letting her preform the surgery we all knew I needed and she explained the whole possible surgery process. I was almost going to make the travel to the Mayo Clinic with my family but after meeting Dr. Nadkarni we trusted her 100% and she completed both my surgeries with no issues and as small of incisions as possible. Even when she technically didn’t need to keep checking on me she still did months after, and made sure I was doing good. I can’t even say how amazing of a Doctor she is! She changed my life and gave me chances as a teenager and for the rest of my life she gave me the choice to choose later on. Her bedside manner is 100% profession, kind and sweet. I could go on and on about Dr Nadkarni, I just feel so thankful to have had her… take on my case and made a me with severe anxiety 100% comfortable and open with her. I’ve never met a doctor like her and I will always remember her and be extremely thankful. She truly saved my life and the nurses and staff in her office are all amazing to. 100% 5 Stars!

I am a RN, have been in practice for 37 years, and wish all Physicians were like Dr Nadkarni! It's different when a nurse is a patient, more so when you have your first diagnosis of cancer. Dr Nadkarni is patient, courteous, and respectful! She is a good and purposeful communicator, gentle and totally the opposite personality of your typical surgeon! She is friendly, genuine and is receptive to a kazillion questions without making u feel u are on the "clock!" (My husband's walk away is she is very patient w her explanations and she did a very good job on my challenging surgical case!) Her office staff is also good, call backs to me were always timely! We thank you muchly for making an "out of the blue" diagnosis something very easy to go through, and safely I might add! I have been telling others about you at every opportunity! Oh by the way, Dr Nadkarni gives hugs and squeezes your hand, which Is a huge Blessing...the universal language of care, spoken without a word said! … Oh and a reminder, God is good...He brought me to this wonderful Doctor! I pray His best over Dr Nadkarni and all of you, under her care~~??

Dr. Nadkarni My wife and I are so thank full that you were there on this labor day weekend .We can not thank you enough for your staff and your operation team. The late night emergence surgery and calling your team together was amazing. Thank you for you hands and love. My family and I felt that my wife was in great hands.

She has an amazing bedside manner. She is a wonderful doctor.
