Dr Sumrall is the best however, good luck getting someone to answer the phone or return a message or send your medical records to another practice or yourself, it isn’t going to happen! Also need records from Dr Houston who was there prior to Dr Sumrall but can’t get anyone on the phone to make that happen either.

Excellent pulmonary doctor, very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. Dr. Sumrall was kind, patient, thorough and attentive. I am so pleased to have found a doctor who is determined to get to the root of my problems. I highly recommend him.

I had the privilege to meet Dr Sumrall when he took over my Dads care. He is a doctor I would let treat me or any of my family. If you want a doctor to sugar coat to prognosis and give you false hope..He is not the doctor for you. We greatly appreciated his direct approach and we took comfort in knowing his past story and what led him to being very forward soeaking in the treatment of our Dad, husband, grandfather and great grandad. Thank you and please don't let bad reviews give you a preconceived opinion like it did myself.

I had a wonderful pulmonologist and then an insurance change.... Ugg!! For 7 months, I have been battling a lung disorder. My primary Dr of 15 years, an "internal medicine" Dr, and the Emergency Room, where I have been admitted and my former pulmonologist all came to the same independent conclusion regarding my condition. Saw this Dr "Summerall" once, he told me it was nothing but a virus and would just go away on its own.. If you want to pay for a random opinion from someone that doesn't even want to know any medical history, then you have to find a Doctor that CARES, if you like wasting your time and money, this is the guy for you.

Having worked in the medical field for over 20 years, I have come across many different types of doctors. This Dr has by far one of the worst bedside manners I have ever witnessed. He treated my uncle with disdain and made him feel horrible about himself. He asked questions and then would say “wrong answer” when he didn’t hear what he wanted. Just a complete jerk. There are many doctors out there that are caring and attentive to their patients....he is not one of them. It’s almost as if he degrades the patients he deems unworthy or beneath him. We will NOT be going back for another visit.

Saw Dr Sumrall for a lung infection with bad cough(I have asthma). Made me wait to be seen last, although I was early for my appointment. I was at this office for 2 1/2 hours!! He care what I said & cut me off when I spoke. Also, would not let me try a different class of asthma medication to see if it would work. He immediately recommended a CT scan & Endoscopic procedure as well. His main concern seemed to be making as much money as possible; in as little time as possible. Sadly, he came across as an arrogant, rude, impatient man. Would not send anyone but an enemy to this guy! If I were still teaching, his grade would be D-!!

I have been using Pulmonary Associates for Some time now and have to Work with Spring Hill Hospital because of a Lung Problem. Ever since I began with Pulmonary Associates I was given this doctor and I did not like him or his bedside manner from the start. Being sick you want the best quality care and I have seen him pitch tantrums and make assumptions that were incorrect in not doing his research on Medical History as any good doctor physician does with a patient in his care. We are looking for the best quality care when in need of quality health care. I have since the beginning asked for another doctor in this group and have not as of this time received the courtesy of another attending physician. I rate him a #1 star because of his bedside manner which in my opinion affects his ability as a quality physician. Anonymous.

Dr. Sumrall is a wonderful, caring person, he has knowledge in his field, and he listens to his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Sumrall.

Dr. Sumrall is an outstanding physician. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a pulmonologist. Pulmonary Associates is a great group overall.
