Dr. Brian Nicholas Victoroff, MD

Dr. Victoroff doesn't treat active people over the age of 55 that have knee injuries. He thinks active and over 55 are mutually exclusive.

I went to Dr. Victoroff with shoulder pain. Upon initial exam he said it was my spine and not my shoulder. Recommended I try a medication and if I wasn’t better I should call one of his colleagues. And he was correct. I needed cervical fusion in my neck.

I would not recommend Dr. Victoroff . After two months of MRIs and being sent to other doctors, he left me feeling absolutely hopeless. I was so disappointed in his bedside manner also. I didn’t feel listened to me. He was too eager to push cortisone shots and pain meads. I just wanted to know what was causing me to be in so much pain.He did not seem genuinely concerned or even very knowledgeable. So very disappointed.

I was diagnosed with acute bursitis . After receiving a cortisone shot there was little relief. I asked four times for a non narcotic relief from the pain and was refused. He expected me to wait three weeks to see a mri before he would consider any relief. Knowing the mri would put me in a position of considerable pain I was unable to finish the exam due to the pain. I continue to be in pain almost a month after my original visit.

Dr. Victoroff and his staff are very professional and understanding. They put the need of the patient ahead of all else. I feel like they care for me as a human being and not just a number. I love UH over it's competitor for this reason.

Dr Victoroff has very kind gentle approach which helps me feel comfortable. He came highly recommended by a therapist friend and although I live rather far it is well worth the trip. His staff is very nice as well.

I went to this doctor with a very unusual problem. It was a problem that literally crippled me. I could not walk. I couldn't even sleep well because of the pain. Dr. Victoroff very calmly told me that nothing could ever be done for me, that my problem was permanent, and that I would be like this for the rest of my life. He told me that I could go to ten other doctors and no doctor would ever agree to operate on me to help fix my problem. It did not matter to him that I was a young man whose whole life was ruined from this. It did not matter to him that my hopes and dreams of ever being normal again were crushed. However, being the person I am I did not give up. After only going to 4 other surgeons, I found one who agreed to operate on me. I am still not completely better, but I am a whole lot better than I was. I am now able to walk with a cane and all my pain is gone. Dr. Victoroff was wrong. If I would have listened to Dr. Victoroff and given up all hope, I would have… never gotten better. It's one thing to not help someone, but to try to destroy their hope that nobody else will ever help them and that they are forever crippled is evil.

I was impressed with his bedside manner as well as his knowledge of what was wrong with me. Also, I felt like I was being educated on what was wrong with me. Some doctor visits leave you guessing and this was not one of them!

I was very pleased with the way Dr. Victoroff handled my operation and post-operative care. I am 80 years old and was apprehensive about surgery at first. Needless to say I am so grateful to Dr. Victoroff and staff for the care, concern and pre and post operative attention I received. Dr. Victoroff was so understanding and took time to explaine everything and answer questions.
