Dr. Bridget Taylor Carey

This doctor introduced herself without a mask 2 feet away from me while two assistants were without gloves or masks. I was shocked. Then she lied to the referring doctor and said I was upset the receptionist was without a mask. Even veterinarians wear masks. This was so disgraceful. Her answer to me was you’re wearing a mask so you’re protected. She should lose her license.

Does anyone know where Dr. Carey is located. She is no longer at 240 East 59th Street, NY, NY

Ultra smart and extremely knowledgeable

My brother was desperate for help and this woman ignored my mother's emails for months and did not answer until I emailed her saying she needed to call my mother immediately. She repeatedly said that she would bring his case up to other professionals and never did. She ordered an MRI and never got back to us with the results. She was upset that I called her out on her lack of communication and said she didn't specialize in what my brother needed help with and didn't want to handle his case anymore. I was in shock that she waited months to say this instead of telling us when she realized she couldnt help. She didn't recommend another professional who could help so we were left to find a doctor on our own. My mother and brother were in tears and she did nothing to help and made endless empty promises. I would never recommend this woman to anyone and cannot believe she is allowed to have a license.

favorable first impression

Very nice, well-meaning doctor when you have her focused on you one on one. As soon as you leave, however, she and her staff will do nothing of the things they had promised. Whether it was to bring up my case to the dept. head, or to research the right genetic test to run and get its approval, or even just return a urgent call right before scheduled surgery. None of these things happened, even after seeing her for two years. I think the combination effect is that Dr. Carey treats it very much as a 9-5 job, and her staff make it almost impossible to contact her in between appointments. Inefficiency and inaccurate tests result. (I was told a specific test had been run by her office, but a doctor would later tell me that the test she had run was not the xxxxxxx test that she had told me it was. Long story. There are better neurologists around, though they are tough to find. If you strike out in NYC, consider trying Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Takes several months of phone calls to get her to return a call requesting MRI results that she sent me for. Does not seem to care about patients at all. Doctors are supposed to be caring and want to help others, when a patient calls it should not take 3 months to get a return phone call. And her secretary would always say, "she'll call you back tomorrow."

Dr. Carey wonderful doctor. Her secretary never follows thru. She talk about TV shows to her other coworkers. The wait for you to get your shoots from her secretary is very long. A

Dr. Carey is a very caring doctor. The one down fall is her secretary. She is very short on the phone and has a nasty attitude. A negative asset for DR. Carey and the office.
