Dr. Bruce Hamilton Lockwood, MD

Our 29 year old son died while being treated by Dr Lockwood. He was having trouble focusing on his studies at law school, so he went to Dr Lockwood to get help. He was prescribed 2 medications together. Our son was not properly monitored and the drugs prescribed led to a psychotic break that caused our son to take his own life. He had an appointment the afternoon he died with Dr Lockwood and he didn't even bother to find out why our son didn't show up. A phone call could have saved his life. According to Dr Lockwood our son was always on time and never missed an appointment. When we informed Dr Lockwood about the death, Dr Lockwood was very callous and couldn't wait to end the call. Luckily for him, we are not litigious. We do want to warn people so this does not happen to them. We have waited 3 years to post this. Our family has suffered greatly as our son was much loved and such an amazing young man whose life was cut short by the negligence of Dr. Lockwood.

Dr Lockwood was a very warm understanding physician that I have seen off an on for the past 15 years. He is always there for me and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I have sent many of my friends and they all have had the same experience. He’s the best.

He was okay but he took off his shoes and his feet stunk. Very unprofessional

I have been seeing Dr. L for around 8-9 years. I will tell you this: he saved my life. Dramatic yes, but for someone who was on the brink of a horrific lifestyle, he led me through it. I see negative reviews frequently and I can understand. I also have to say that Bruce helps people, and when someone tries to take advantage of that, all the blame blows back on the doctor.. when someone doesn't get what they want- this is in every case doctor/patient. He's laid back, fantastic, great to talk to, makes you feel comfortable enough to just say anything. I wouldn't be here without him and I'm sure not leaving anytime soon.

He is abrupt rude dismissive doesn't even deserve to be called a dr. So I will refer to him as Bruce. I needed a prescription filled because my dr had died and Bruce was the on call dr. He would only write me a two week script when I asked him for a month so I had time to find someone who takes Medicare and explained that a two week supply would screw up my insurance he yelled that it was late and he wanted to go home and said do you want the two week supply or not when I tried to again explain my situation he yelled again look I'm not going to go round and round with you he was so rude and completely lacked any respect for me treating me like I was a child. If you want someone who will show you respect and consider what you have to say Bruce is not your guy keep looking

Dr. Lockwood is the best. He is casual, friendly, and accomodating. His approach to helping patients is very practicle- He is smart, and he does what is best.
