Dr. Calya Myint, MD

Saw this psychiatrist two separate times for an assessment at IPAC. She asked the same questions over and over despite taking notes; compared my physical problem to her 60 year old back problem (i’m In my early 20’s and don’t have same diagnosis); wasn’t going to do anything with my meds until I asked for them to be changed. On second visit, told me I wasn’t that bad, and people had it worse out there. Has no bed side manner, and when people are seeking help for depression they don’t want to hear how there are worse people out there. She did absolutely nothing to help and made no useful recommendations. AVOID AT ALL COST>

I had a terrible experience with this doctor. She did not listen to what I was saying and made me feel steamrolled and like I was at fault for not doing well. I left her office in tears. She didn’t ask in detail what my symptoms were besides asking if I was having paranoia symptoms (which is not something in my medical history in the slightest). Furthermore, she just plain didn’t listen to what I was saying. She would ask me the same question multiple times and I started to feel like it was pointless to even say anything to her. Do not recommend in the slightest.
