Subsequently, Dr. Cirino attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, graduating in the top 5% of his class, and received the faculty award for overall academic achievement. Following his medical education, Dr. Cirino completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Recognized for his leadership skills, he was chosen by his peers and mentors as Chief Resident in his final year. He then pursued further specialization through a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Cirino has made significant contributions to the field of orthopedic surgery, authoring numerous peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters. He has presented his research findings at various national and international meetings. He also serves as a peer reviewer for esteemed journals such as the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, and the Bone & Joint Journal. Dr. Cirino's roots trace back to Westport, Connecticut, where he was born and raised.
