Excellent doctor. I would recommend highly.

When I made the appt. for Dr Haley, the person advised me the exam would be classified as a contacts exam after I explained about my one contact in my right eye. The exam was performed, not by Dr Haley, very quick, curt, and somewhat exact (the examiner helped me take off my contact) After the exam, my eyes were diluted and I was taken to a darkened room to wait -- for 1 hr 20 min. I was then taken to an empty exam room ro wait. Dr Haley came in after 20 minutes and advised me I had a cataract in my right eye that will need to be corrected , although I could wait to a later time. He startled me when he stated I had macular degeneration, but did explain it was very, very minor. He gave me the prescription for glasses without telling me they were for glasses or any other explanation. I never advised that I wanted to change from wearing a contact to wearing glasses and No One asked me if I wanted to change to wearing glasses When I went to order the contact, I was advised the… prescription I had was for glasses and not for contacts. I was instructed I would have to have another exam for contacts with an additional cost of $90!! It is apparent that the staff handling my experience was very assuming and very non-communicative.

Dr.Haley may be well qualified as an ophthalmologist but he has no pleasing bedside manner.He seems not concerned with his patients' welfare or their concerns about their vision.His actual time with me is very, very short, he is aloof,and he doesn't communicate well with me or choose to communicate with me about my vision problems except in a demeaning manner.He cannot understand why I refuse to take eye vitamins--because I cannot tolerate them in my digestive system and I refuse to take them.He does not offer any alternative.I don't understand why he cannot be kinder and less dictatorial. I do not recommend him as an eye doctor.

Dr. Carlton Haley performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and in each case my site was worse than before the operations. The first operation caused swelling in the back of my eye which almost a year later still remains and thus distortions in my sight. The second operation resulted in a black eye the following few days, caused swelling of my retina, which now needs treatment by a retina specialist and caused a loss of sight instead of the gain one is supposed to experience. I would not recommend him to anyone. What should have been a straight forward everyday surgery turned into a nightmare for me.

Dr. Haley assured me that the laser surgery was pain free and most of his patients have even driven themselves home afterward. If I had tried that someone would be dead. The most painful experience of my life! No information about possible side affects at all!

Dr. Haley has great staff! Very thorough; however, the wait time is ridiculous! My last visit, for routine check up was three hours! You see Dr Haley for less than five minutes of that time. I dread going back. I’ll unfortunately have to find another doctor.

Dr. Haley is a good doctor but terribly inconsiderate of his patients' time. The last visits I have had with him lasted 2 -3 hours. With my last follow-up appt., with no dilation of my eyes, I waited 2 hours before I saw Dr. Haley and he was in the room approximately 3 minutes. I have been so frustrated with the last 5 visits I have had to his office. I will not return.

Dr. Carlton Haley has a wonderful bedside manner and was very thorough in his explanation of my eye problem. His staff worked me in the same day and I was so grateful they did! I will definitely refer my family and friends to see Dr. Haley. I am in the medical field and I can honestly say that Dr. Haley is exceptional!

My mother saw Dr. Haley regarding blurry vision. Dr. Haley spoke down to her and continued to talk over her throughout the entire visit. After SHE mentioned a test that should have been done in the first place, she was then scheduled for ANOTHER appointment. (Like she has nothing better to do) At this appointment, Dr. Haley stated he found some things that were very concerning, without really explaining them to her. He then requested she follow up with a specialist. Needless to say, my mother left there even more confused and with more questions than she started with. Not to mention scared to death that she might be going BLIND!!!! After speaking with a few people who did not have nice things to say about this doctor, she decided to seek help elsewhere. I myself work in the medical field and I am appalled by the treatment my mother received. I would not recommend sending a loved one to Dr. Haley!!!!

From the moment we entered the building, from the secretaries at the front desk, to each and every person who worked with us, we found the experience the best we have ever experienced. Dr. Haley is very thorough and second to none. I would prefer not to have the eye problems that I have, but having such a thorough doctor tending to the visual needs of both my wife and me is a great comfort. He is tops!
