Dr. Catherine Sylvia Celler, MD

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Celler since infancy. She is now 18 years old, and after years of tolerating dismissive behavior, today was the final straw. I have never written a negative review for a physician before, but this experience warrants it. Her appointment was scheduled for 2:45 PM due to an extreme sunburn. Dr. Celler entered the room at 3:05 PM — which, to be clear, was not the issue. We fully support doctors taking the time they need with patients. The issue was how she entered the room and conducted herself. The first words out of her mouth were, in a rushed and irritated tone. From that moment forward, her demeanor was annoyed and impatient, as if my daughter was inconveniencing her simply by being there. My daughter explained that she had an extreme sunburn, but that was not the only reason for the visit. She is also experiencing issues with her current birth control medication. Dr Celler said, "Tell me quick I am on a time crunch."After my daughter… explained as quick as she could Dr. Celler’s response was, “Oh I love that — we’ll up the dosage and change the brand,” with no explanation of what the new medication was, no discussion of potential side effects, and no effort to educate or reassure her. She attempted to move on and exit the room as quickly as possible. My daughter came home upset and said, “She may not care about my body, but I do. I wish she explained things and didn’t try to rush me out.” That statement alone should concern any medical professional. To make matters worse, when my daughter asked about vaccinations needed for an upcoming trip, she was told to “look it up on ChatGPT and get back to me.” Is that truly the level of guidance patients should expect from their doctor? Ironically, the receptionist at the front desk showed more compassion, patience, and willingness to provide helpful information than Dr. Celler did during the entire appointment. There have been many similar interactions over the years, but this one made it clear: we will be finding a new doctor. If you are looking for warmth, concern, explanation, and basic bedside manner, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Good luck if you choose Dr. Celler.

If you can't get past the office staff! Always on hold! They never answer! They need more people on phones! Not ENOUGH STAFF! Can't say enough good things about this doctor!!!!! HIRE MORE STAFF to support your awesome doctors!

Dr. Celler is our family Dr. and we can't praise her enough. Her bedside manor is excellent and her demeanor is always pleasant. Dr. Celler or her NP have always returned our calls promptly as well. Our son was born at 8:30pm and Dr. Celler came to the hospital first thing the next morning to meet her newest patient. Also, we have been more than satisfied with the specialist doctors that Dr. Celler has referred us to. There have been some negative reviews regarding the office staff, but we have never had an issue.

Dr. Celler is nice and good if you can pass through her office staff to get an appointment. The receptionist is extremely rude and impatient and often hang up the phone while you are speaking. Dr. Celler will be able to serve the community better if the receptionist in her office gets better training in courtersey and manners.

I love Dr. Celler! She treats whole family.

I would highly recommend Dr. Celler. When I moved back to the area I looked for a new doctor hesitantly because I really liked the doctor I used to have. Dr. Celler has done a wonderful job and exceeded all of my expectations. I have recommended her to friends and they love her as well. She is personable and knowledgeable at the same time. She makes you feel comfortable during each visit.

Finally...at first I was a bit skeptical of her young age but she was the best doc I've seen. Would highly recommend her.

I had a doctor's visit with Dr. Cellar today, because my regular PCP was not available. I am so happy with Dr. Cellar and the care she provided me. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cellar. Her bedside manner is outstanding and I immediately felt comfortable talking with her. I am definitely going to request Dr. Cellar as my PCP. She is the best!
