Dr. Cecilia Irene Lowder

This woman should have her medical license revoked. She appears to be intelligent, but has no compassion for her patients. Her emotion inhibits her ability as a diagnostician. If you are searching for a PCP, I strongly advise you to look the other way.

After going through many reviews to find a good PCP Dr. who accepted my insurance I finally gave Dr. lower a chance. At my first appt. to meet with her she seemed very nice and caring. Even saw that I was ALREADY prescribed Adderall and offered to fill for me. The following month I noticed he was hesitant to fill the RX again saying that she “prefers” the actual brand name not generic mind you it is time released therefore it is not the same. After seeing the $60 difference in cost I explained its too much and since I had no issues with my medication I prefer to stick to my same generic meds. After about 5 months of dealing with the same issue every month and her having NO recollection of me telling her the brand name is not covered and is WAY more expensive she finally said she will no longer fill the generic and if I wanted to keep taking the generic medication I will have to go to another dr. WOW after all the time and $ I spent this is the end result. What a sorry excuse for a… doctor

Awesome Doctor with great diagnostic abilities

Most caring, informative, helpful , highly concerned, and very knowledgeable!! I applaud her service and caring attitude of her entire staff!!! I hated to leave her, but Kelsey would not accept my Medicare!! Still I love ?? the care given to me!!!

Dr. Lowder is a great doctor. I'm not sure if those other reviews are accurate, they probably didn't get what they wanted from her. I've seen her for 2 years and she is a compassionate doctor. She will try to get me in and out the office if she can, she may be rushed but she's gets the job done. just be on time!! I cannot stress that enough, otherwise you'll have to wait because she'll see those after you that came on time. Trust me, I've experienced it. But i had a leg problem that I'd been having thinking I just injured it. Called the nurse, she got me in that same day, turned out I had a clot and she treated me right away for it! So I doubt those bad reviews are telling the whole story.. Probably a pain medicine seeking addict didn't get what they wanted. I suggest you go in and see for yourself before listening to those bad reviews!

Didn't have to wait at all. Really friendly and very prompt. Got me in and got me out and treats me and my husband wonderfully. Has great staff! Great experience!

I was charged a for a full exam and then I did not receive one - she said "Everything is fine" after I showed her my previous bloodwork from another doctor that clearly showed that I had results outside of the normal limits - she said "Oh, these aren't outside our limits". She spent no more than 15 min with me - ordered no lab work what so ever to follow up on my concerns and did not answer my questions about my health concerns except to say "you're perfectly fine" and everybody your age has "that". She was interupted 3 times by a nurse for other patient's questions DURING my appointment as well. I felt rushed through and I felt as though my health concerns were of no interest to her.

I will be changing my PCP immediately. I went to go see her for a large growth in my breast area that concerned me. Did she bother to reccomend an OB/GYN or breast specialist for further examination, or maybe even a plastic or general surgeon for excision? NOPE. This woman paid about as much attention to large painful lumps on my body, as a rich person would to a penny in the street. My 15 minute wait was 3 times longer than my actual visit, so what does that tell you? She said "let me see" and when I attempted to show her the masses I was referring to, she actually said the words "oh thats nothing" before I could even finish explaining my symptoms! he icing on the cake is that when I asked for a referral to someone, ANYONE that could help me, she said that she doesn't do that, and she left the room. So my 25 dollar copay was wasted, and I was in tears at her utter lack of compassion and concern. If you care about your health, don't see this woman, she seems to only be in business to… line her pockets.

She is a very competent, thorough practitioner. She reviews patient history. She take the time to talk to the patient and investigate any presenting problems. She insists on regular follow-up visits if the patient is on medications that could have detrimental side effects such as statins or blood pressure meds. SHe is also sensitive to medication cost and will recommend generic alternatives when appropriate.

I gave Dr. Lowder 3 years, before leaving her practice to seek another doctor. My primary complaint is that her *go to* person, Cynthia, is about as bright as a bag of rocks! She is a pathetic reflection on Dr. Lowder and does not belong in any type of medical field or service oriented office.Dr. Lowder offers NO PERSONAL attention whatsoever. I phoned the office one day in a panic over a medical concern, hoping to get a call back from the doctor. Not until the next day did this Cynthia woman phone and said that "Dr. Lowder says to see a specialist". I asked who they would recommend and if you can believe it, I was told that they do not give recommendations!!! Are you kidding me!Lastly but equally important, I have no insurance coverage for office visits and relatively no health issues. Even though I make my annual physical appts with Dr. Lowder, she is manipulative in withholding my Rx refills for HBP meds by insisting that I have a periodic office visit to pad her pocket book… when I definitely have no need to see her for medication refills that I have taken for the past 10 plus years and I also regularly monitor my blood pressure.I have now found a physician who after evaluating my health condition provides me with refills for one full year! I do not recommend Dr. Lowder!!!
