Dr. Chad Edward Hartley, MD

Can’t even call him a dr he crippled my husband always sent his PA in to do his work. Seen him drinking while wearing his scrubs not sure if it was before surgery or after. Wonder why he can’t practice at Havasu hospital!! Beware

I had a eleven hour surgery in may 2019 and now I'm dead. That's right the doctor came to see him once. So let me begin by telling you my story Dr Hartley had done previous surgery on me less then 6 months ago. I woke up one day in May and was in extreme pain I couldn't walk. I phone Dr Hartleys office and I had to wait 10 days before he could see me. His words were stay off your feet. At the appointment he orders a stat MRI.. I couldn't get there till next day because they were closed for the day by the time I got out of Dr Hartleys office. Once I received the disc of my MRI I rushed it over to Dr.Hartleys office assuming he was going to look at my MRI right away since he did want this stat. No he was gone to Phoenix for the weekend. Remember the doctor requested this stat mri. Weekend is now over and with the technology today I would think he could have read that disc from anywhere Nope it's now Tuesday and he has finally looked at my MRI and shows me a big open space where L 5… should be at. His whole demeanor has now changed he orders stat surgery.. I'm wondering did something go wrong in my previous surgery. Surgery day im not sure exactly what Dr.Hartley plans on doing but he did say they were going in from my front side and from my back side. I was told to be at hospital at 9am. Around 3pm surgery started and 11 hours later it was over. Yes I could tell you more about my story but...I will give you my review on Dr.Hartley, then I will give you a short version of my last couple hours alive.Dr.Hartley saw me once after surgery and honestly I don't recall much of that conversation. So I give no stars for this review. I suggest you do some serious research on who you choose to work on your spine. Here's my run down .HospitalAdmitting paying my portion of hospital stay and surgery. Day of surgery and then a stay in ICU,then a room on 300wing ,and then I'm released from hospital to the rehab department which is on the hospital property owned by Lifepoint and Physicians.The next day I start going down hill my blood pressure is dropping . Paramedics are called to take me to hospital ER . This is when the confusing part happens I'm either misdiagnosed and or a delayed diagnosis , then a possible missed sepsis diagnosis. They do start an IV with antibiotic.Mean while I should have been air evaced to Sunrise Hospital where they care for the patient they save the patients life then worry about the paper work. Yep the paramedics the hospital employees were more concerned that I had to be admitted before anything could be done for me and mean while I'm set aside I'm not flying anywhere so my life can be saved. My loved ones have gone home thinking I'm already in the air .They don't know i've been set aside while they figure out my paper work I'm scared I'm alone And now I'm going to die all alone . Did they care about my family and my friends. I wrongfully died because of Dr. Chad E. Hartley and Havasu Regional Medical Center

Dr.Hartley continued to tell me I needed more surgeries, after three surgeries and getting permanent nerve damage and still in pain I go to get another opinion and was told Dr.Hartley caused permanent damage and he was just wanting to make money from my Insurance. I know there are huge risk with any back surgery but Hartley never discussed these. Please do not use him if you want to keep walking.

Hartley performed surgery on my husband and really messed up his back, now my husband can’t walk has to use walker always in pain,hartly never came back in after surgery . Hartley is the worst

Doctor Hartley is AMAZING, and very well mannered. He takes time to talk to you about everything.

Never did he come in to see my husband after he performed surgery on my husband , my husband also got mrsa due to not putting in drain tubes

My case is a bit complicated. Dr. Hartley took the time to listen and is ordering tests. He had a positive attitude and was personable. I left with a good impression of him.

Fantastic bedside manners. Sets and listens then explains thing so you can understand it

had this surgery 7 days ago and I can tell all ready it was my priers answered yes I'm still in a lot of pain however its the kind of pain you know will go away in time

I am the one who wrote wheres Dr Hartley. Well all went well took brace off 3 weeks ago and only alittle stiff neck. Will be doing PT soon. The bump on neck seems to be going down more and more. So thumbs up to my the Dr and PA and staff thanks.
