Absolutely the best doctor. His knowledge and care is extraordinary. My desperation to help my child who was diagnosed with idiopathic chronic uveitis I flew her to Boston to see Dr Foster. I wasted 1.5 yrs of my daughters life at Kellogg Eye center where they had my child on high doses of steroid therapy. After 2 visits to see Dr Foster there hasn't been any activity in her eye. He knew exactly what to do. GOD bless him.

We began with Dr. Foster when our daughter was in the 4th grade. If we had gone to him first I believe her uveitis would have gone into remission and the permanent damage she suffered from prolonged steroids at Strong hospital rheumatology in NY wouldn't have happened. Dr. Foster and his staff have top of the line tech, and if you REALLY need an appointment he'll get you in. We drove 7hrs one way to get there, regularly, until he put our daughter's disease into remission and it was worth it. He will also work with your local docs VERY well. If they say he isn't, they are lying. Trust a mom. He performed a vitrectomy, plars planitis yag lazer treatment, and various other things. DO NOT HESITATE. GO.

Great, caring doc...very busy office. You will be seen by residents/fellows but Dr Foster is worth the wait. If you have vasculitis or any inflammatory process that could result in vision loss..this is the place to go. Office is very accommodating and will see pts with urgent concerns. Dr Hinkle is also excellent.

We are so happy we took the chance and drive to see Dr.Foster and actually look foward to seeing him every 3 months :)

Dr. Foster is the one to see when other ophthalmologists have given up on your case or your care. He combines the best of all worlds -- he's one of only two ophthalmologists who's a member of the American College of Rheumatology, and is also an immunologist. He understands how the "big gun" drugs will help symptoms in other parts of your body, AND he's not afraid to use these meds when necessary. He's the only doctor that I trust 100% with my care (and I've seen a LOT of doctors).
