Dr. Charles Barry Herring, MD

a real horse's ass. i've been an RN in critical care and psyche over 20yrs. and he puts starts me on BP meds at a much higher dose than recommended starting dose. I split the dose in1/2 and began having the tick cough associated with some BP meds. I told him and he informed me he gives lectures on hypetension and this med doesn't do this. All literature about med says it does. Would not give me anything to treat severe back muscle spasms so went to urgent care. Very disrespectful. Clinic is very dark, dirty, noisy and use closets for exam rooms

Dr. Herring is the most thorough doctor that my husband and I have ever gone to. He truly cares about his patients.

Dr Charles Herring is rude and does not answer questions. I did not receive test lab or X-ray results. Then sent a letter to stop me from seeing the group of doctors. Now a year later I start getting bills. It is a night mare that never ends. My insurance forms state I do not owe.

This Doctor is so busy he talks to you for less than 5 min.!! I ask him if I had this problem and he yield (as in like a major fight!) at me for asking the question!?!?! I needed surgery and told him I might need it!! He yells at his nurses and me?? I was sick for 4 years and as in time I went to another doctor. Herring kept saying I did not need surgery and the other Doctor said coming in now and you need surgery!! This doctor is so busy he runs around like a chicken with its head cut off!! His pride is one thing that is wrong!! I thought Wilmington Health was bad!!!! Ha! Thanks Dr Herring for letting me be sick and get worst as in time went on!!!! If you calm down and not have your pride get in the way I might not of gotten worst as in my health!!

I have been with Dr. Herring for many years. He very professional and thorough. He is always jovial and listens to any complaints I may have. I see him at least twice a year. My wife like the fact that follows up every little problem or pain I might have.

Wonderful person as well as great medical practitioner.

Worst experience of my life. He is an embarrassment to other dr's, and the new Hanover medical group hospital. He yells, interrupts, never lets you speak, talks about personal issues in front of other people w/o your permission. He doesn't practice what he preaches- if you want overall health, and you're a doctor, you shouldn't be obese. If he would run his legs as much as he does his mouth, he actually might have something going for him. I have never been treated with such disrespect by anyone, nonetheless someone I am PAYING for a few moments of their time. He needs to be fired. I'm highly considering taking legal action as to how terrible he treated me. I would rather get ran over by a semi than ever have to listen to that idiot speak. Sorry,!yell. I wouldn't recommend going to him to my worst enemy. All in all, he is a mean and cruel human being, with absolutely no heart. He doesn't care about who he is, "treating." Rather, he tries to talk/yell as loud as possible to let it be… known, that he is a joke. He also pouts and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way, or when a client tries to simply speak. He completely goes against the code of ethics.. He only treats everyone like dog poop. It's far past time he gets let go from his, "profession," because he doesn't even do what his job entales. I honestly don't know how this, "man," can look at himself In the mirror, or sleep peacefully knowing he is a heartless and beyond rude.

Condescending and arrogant! Staff was wonderful but not worth putting up with his dismissive and patronizing attitude!

Unprofessional. Could hear his obnoxious voice YELLING all over the building at staff members as if they were children. Came in to see me THREE HOURS after my appointment time with his shirt halfway unbuttoned, exposing his chest hair...so, so, so unprofessional. Kept shs'ing and interrupting me, didn't listen to me to know what was wrong. I eventually just let him keep talking and ASSUMING he knew my symptoms, blocked out EVERYTHING he said, and just followed up with my REAL doctor the following week. I had only seen Dr. Herring b/c my original doctor was on vacation. Avoid him like the plague!!!!

Asked me what's wrong, never let me finish my sentences to tell him all that's going on, so, I'm unsure how he is able to properly diagnose anyone if he doesn't take the extra fifteen seconds to let you tell him. Unprofessional, shirt was half unbuttoned with no undershirt. Gag.
