I have to drive a car to work at least one hour each way. Recently, I found that my left leg getting more puffy . I felt heavy sensation in my left leg late afternoon. And my left foot started tingling sensation and weakness. I saw Dr. Young right away. He did a very detailed physical exam and measured the girth of my two legs. He sent me to a stat sonogram of my leg. He told me to drink more water, to raise my leg up with pillows under my lags while sleeping. He advised me to ear suspension belts instead of regular belt. The sonogram turned out to be a clot of my leg veins. He referred me to see a vascular pecialist who told me that I was caught the clot in time. Otherwise, the clots may go to my lungs which will be life threatening. Now, the clots in my leg veins were resolved. I really appreciated Dr. Young's professional input to save my life.

I was born with leg weakness. And over the past 6 months my knees got hurts. Some bone doctors told me that I need the knee replacement. One of my church friends referred me to see Dr. Young. He did a detailed examination and took the knee x-rays for me. Then he guarantee that I do not need the knee replacement and showed me the isometric and isokinetic exercises for my knees. Recently, I found that my both ankles have reddish swelling with funny sensation in my feet. I saw Dr. Young again and he told me that I have Stasis dermatitis in my both legs because I sit still and stand still too long period of time. He provided the treatment program for me to do. Now, the reddish discoloration and swelling my both feet and and ankles disappeared. My leg skin is recovered well with his treatment program. He is really a wonderful medical doctor!

I am a computer scientist and my hobby is cycling. I bike on the regular basis. About 9 months ago, I started to have the pain on the right thumb and wrist after cycling. I had had consulted several medical doctors for my right wrist pain. I have tried physical modalities, pain medication and steroid injection of my right wrist/thumb without any significant improvement until I saw Dr. Charles C. Young, an excellent doctor of physical medicine. He took detailed history, did a thorough physical examinations including my cervical spine(neck(, deep tendon reflexes of my upper extremities, and some other specific tests. He concluded that I have a pinched nerve in my neck causing my wrist pain. The curve of my neck tends to lean forward (kyphosis) during work and cylcling which compromised my C6 nerve root resulting my right thumb and wrist pain syndrome. He corrected the poor alignment of my cervical spine, instructed the biomechanics to keep my cervical spine in a good shape and showed me… the therapeutic exercise. Now my right thumb/wrist pain syndrome totally disappears. Not only can I focus my computer job but also I enjoy my cycling without any pain. This is really a big gift for my Holidays!

I have had my right foot and toes pain, numbness and swelling. I saw several podiatrists who told me that I needed a foot surgery. A good tennis friend of mine referred me to see Dr. Young. He measured my shoes. examined my feet , checked my sciatic nerve and watched my gaits. He concluded that my shoes were too tight and too narrow for my forefoot, bilaterally. He did a shoes modification, shared the ideas hoe to reduce my foot swelling and taught me how to walk in correct way. Suddenly, my 10-year-old foot pain disappeared. I can walk and run normally now.

Dr. Young evaluated my foot pain not only the local examination of the foot, ankle, sciatic nerve , but also the shoes. He not only relived the pain of me right foot/big toe, but also showed me how to walk, and did the shoes modification to prevent the pain recurrence. He really is a great doctor of physical medicine.

Dr. Young, had listened Patient's talking, spent time on the detailed examination and provided very comprehensive rehab treatment for the low back pain patients.

My long term backache was relieve by Dr. Young without any invasive procedure.
