It's easy for doctors to be kind to patients when they are happy, relaxed, and agreeable. Dr. Christeena Kurian is kind, empathetic, calm and even tempered always, even when the patients are anxious and having meltdowns. I first took my mom to see Dr. Kurian about 6 months ago for a TIA diagnosis, carotid artery blockage and several syncope episodes. During the first visit. Dr. Kurian was careful and thorough, and she listened well. She thoughtfully explained her suggestions and treatment plan, and she ordered relevant tests. Most importantly, she treated my mom like she was a family member. It's now six months and several meltdowns later. We've seen Dr. Kurian several times since that initial visit and each time she was just as attentive, calm, thorough and empathetic as she was during that first visit. She's exceptionally responsive to phone calls, even returning my calls during evenings and on weekends. She goes way beyond the call of duty, and I'm lucky that my mom is in her care.
