Dr. Christopher Royce Cooper, MD

For several years I had very good experiences with Dr Cooper's office when their office was in the Professional Building at THR Alliance and even referred a couple of other patients to him. Once they moved to their current location on Harmon Rd. the level of care went way down. A few months ago I called after hours and explained my symptoms to the on-call doctor. For some reason unbeknownst to me he got very irritated and asked "What do you want me to do"? On another occasion, I needed a referral to a specialist and the first couple of specialists they referred me to were setting appointments many weeks out. Upon explaining the situation to Dr Cooper's nurse she told me I just needed to do a google search to find a specialist myself rather than trying to get me an appointment with another specialist sooner. I found these responses to be totally unacceptable.

Dr. Christopher Cooper has been my primary care provider for over ten years. In my experience, he is highly-attentive with his patients, is extremely knowledgeable in internal and sports medicine, plus he has been instrumental in correctly diagnosing and successfully treating many of my health conditions. I would recommend Dr. Cooper and his staff without reservation.

5 years ago when in Dr. Coopers Care he let me suffer for 6 months trying to recover from poison ivy exposure- i thought it was just a difficult case so I consulted a second opinion and was healed. Now I am thinking half of all MD graduate at bottom of class. HE MUST BE ONE in the bottom half.......He is kind and my husband and I have seen him occasionally as we are rather healthy. A year ago while at a routine exam I noticed kid treats and the staff encouraged me to bring my kiddos. They too are rather healthy and we simply needed routine well child visits. Now just recently he/NP have treated my daughter for 2 months and she is not getting better. When I call and ask to see him they tell me he is book could I see the NP, I say sure today when it comes to a head with my 6 yo not getting better they tell me they can't help me because I haven't seen Cooper- I was NOT happy. I asked for him to call me instead he said he would call in an RX and I could go seek a second opinion. If you… are health and need a well visit he is great! if you are sick RUN AWAY

Under Dr. Coopers care and guidance, I have lost weight, Increased strength and improved my balance. At 73 years old I am now eating right and all the recommendations he made, which I followed resulted in the last two years lab results that most people would envy. This years Lab were normal in every category. My total Cholesterol is (HDL=65) and (LDL=67) Every thing about my life is better. What more could one ask for from their doctor. I recommend him highly, if you want a doctor that truly cares about your health. Do You?

Had a appt today for my 12 year old daughter. Cooper was very rude he ended up starting an argument with me over the fact he didn’t like an answer my daughter gave to a question he asked, I couldn’t believe this was happening. He actually rolled his eyes at me and pushed the computer desk into the wall and told us we could leave and see someone else if we didn’t like him or if he was being rude after I told him didn’t have to be so rude and unprofessional. All of this took place in front of my daughter. I told him could we please continue with the next question and he refused and continued to try an escalate the situation by looking at my daughter and saying “ should I ask you or your mother the questions?” I was in utter disbelief he bahaved so disgustingly rude and unprofessional. This was only a bit of what and how he behave during this visit.

I really like this guy. Young, smart and he cares.

Friendly, easy going, easy to talk to. Takes patient concerns seriously. Projects compassion and caring. Takes time to look into issues.

unknowledgeable, staff is clueless, toreach a secretary is a chore on phone

Very thorough, yet easy going and easy to talk to. He explains things very well and includes you in the decision making. I am very comfortable with him.
