Dr. Christopher William Lasalle, MD

I broke my wrist and needed to be set. I went Ortho One to have it set and cast. I had to go back every 2 weeks to have my wrist crated and a new cast put on. After 6 weeks, the final cast came off. Then after final cast was removed my wrist was bending significantly to the left. I heard nurses in the room saying “look, the wrist is not set right.” Ortho One refused to make it right. Six months later I needed carpal tunnel surgery by Lasalle. He saw my wrist and said he would do correct surgery when my carpal tunnel on the opposite wrist was healed. In the OR Lasalle finished with the carpal tunnel surgery, I said to him that I was looking forward to correct bend in my wrist. He said I am not doing the surgery and walked out. I try to get Parkview and Ortho One to fix my wrist due to their malpractice. All of my complaints were ignored. Finally, I wrote a letter to the editor in the Journal Gazette about my experience in order to warn others about Parkview and Ortho One especially… Lasalle. The letter was printed and I am now ban from Ortho One. This happened in 2013. Reading the complaints about Lasalle, they described him perfectly. I spent over 20 years in the medical business. I dealt with surgeons of all strips. Lasalle’s demeanor far out weighs his abilities. I should have sued for mail practice. Me advice is to stay as far away from Lasalle, Parkview, and Ortho one as possible.

I am currently being treated by Dr Christopher LaSalle, he did surgery to repair my left hand that was destroyed by a table saw. I am so grateful for this Dr He has done an excellent job. He has a great personality very friendly helpful caring a really wonderful person and I couldn’t ask for better service. Sincerely, WLLIAM PAYNE

My mother had to fight to get him to take an MRI of her hand! She fought an ORTHOPEDIC surgeon to take and MRI and see what is wrong for SIX months. He was very rude to her and my father the whole time they came to see him and wasted their time and money on him and his malpractice. When he FINALLY agreed to give her an MRI, he told her that there was nothing wrong but inflammation, (she's been having problems with it for over a year prior to coming in to see him). he refused to show her the results of the MRI for herself, but she needed proof from him that she had an MRI and that she was going to have surgery (to "remove the inflammation"), my mother works at a hospital, so when they sent the results there, they noticed written very clearly that there were not one, but TWO tears that were in my mother's wrist that she has been working with and making worse for over a year. When he finished the inflammation surgery, he came out to speak with me and my dad, he said they repaired ONE tear… that he just couldn't see on the MRI. He was disrespectful to all three of us, he lied to all of us, and he was overall a really poor doctor, very cocky. Very rude to his employees, who were all really nice (including his sister the anesthesiologist) and they were all afraid of speaking up to him. He thinks he's better than and smarter than everyone and he was so rude to us as a family. Not impressed and thoroughly angry. There were other things that happened that made us want to sue, but there were more factors on the table (like my mother's reputation) that made her take a step back. I don't think he should get away with the things he did to my mother and family. (BY THE WAY, AFTER THE SURGERY, ONE OF THE SCRUB NURSES TOLD US THERE WERE NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT THREE, YES THREE TEARS IN HER WRIST THAT HE REPAIRED WHEN HE TOLD US HE ONLY REPAIRED THE ONE! We also found out that he had the MRI during the surgery, which as we all know now had the two tears listed on it. DON'T pick him or you will be disrespected and treated like you're dirt!

Great bedside manner and has a good way of explaining things. Did a good job on my surgery. My only complaint is he is not very good at after care. It's like once he's done cutting....he's done with you and on to the next.

REALLY GOOD GUY. STATRED ME OFF WITH MEDS AND BRACES FOR MY CARPUL TUNNEL. GAVE ME OPTIONS AND WAS UPFRONT WITH ME. DID NOT INSIST ON SURGERY HE LEFT IT UP TO ME. MOST DOCTORS WOULD HAVE SAID DO SURGERY. TRUST HIM VERY MUCH.

Have been a patient of Dr. Chris LaSalle's for years. From the first visit he has been concerned, informative, told me my options, and always did all he could to provide me the most comfort. He has done joint replacements in both hands. After the first surgery, during my follow-up appointment, he listened to me tell him how I was feeling, and immediately knew what the problem ( which I thought was normal) was. He said I had RSD (Reflex Sympatheic Dystrophy) a rare and extremely painful condition which could have left my hands very crippled. He order therapy and medicine right away. Many doctor's would not have known what I was dealing with, however, Dr. LaSalle was informed and great. I would go to him again in a heartbeat. I would recommend him highly.

I am not trying to bash this man because I am upset, I would simply like to write a review of my experience. One which I would like to read if I were looking for a hand soecialist. This man infuriated me. I have been to very many doctors in my day, however, I have never experienced one who downplayed what I was feeling and belittled my symptoms. He never explained any technique in which he said he could perform in order to make my diagnosis better. He, instead, insisted that he wouldn't have to cut my arm off. He placed his hand above my knee (I am a female) upon me sitting down, and started talking and asking me questions. Very unprofessional and so uncomfortable to the point that I almost walked out. I will never step foot back in this physician's office. I don't know if this man was just having a bad day, but his behavior was so unprofessional and very uncomfortable. He is, however, very knowlegable and very smart. The man knows his stuff and knows what he is talking about. But in… my opinion, that does not excuse his behavior. Hands down, the worst doctor I have ever encountered.

Dr. LaSalle is amazing and the only guy I would trust to open me up and play with the nerves in my arm. He is an excellent doctor who really seems to care about his patients!
