Dr. Clinton E Sims, PhD

Dr. Sims is not only the best therapist I have seen throughout my 45 years, but he is the most ethical therapist who actually cares about the child's best interest. The important factor here is "child's best interest" and how therapists can align themselves with one parent while demonizing the other parent. No therapist should ever keep the other parent out of the loop while he/she is seeing their child who has mental health problems. Those that do this harm the child even more and it goes without saying that the "first do no harm" motto is thereby ignored. First do no harm is what Dr. Sims understands and with a contentious custody battle it is important not to take sides and to remain neutral, while always looking out for the child's best interest, and with Dr. Sims this is what you will get.

Dr. Sims worked with my son and I throughout the summer and helped improve an extremely strained history based on poor and inaccurate communication. I appreciate his efforts which resulted in a stronger, more transparent relationship and improved communication and coping skills.

I remember him calling me lazy, being on the phone and not trying to really understand me. He would try to "push" me and "challenge" me, but never took the time to understand why I was like that. Most of his therapy comes through text messages the morning after in the form of quotes.
