I broke my ankle on 8-29-25. Trimalleator fracture. Dr Akoh operated the next day...plate and screws...and he saw me the day after and showed me a pic of the post-op xray with the hardware. (I took a pic of his pic,) I found him to be very nice, friendly, reassuring, and competent. I have had zero pain since he put my ankle back together. I copied the surgeon's report onto my notes so I could show every subsequent follow-up dr at the rehab hosp 60 miles away what Dr A's instructions were and made sure they were followed. "Check wound in 2 wks. Remove stitches in 4 wks. Non weight bearing for 10 wks. Osteoporotic bones." I truly have had zero pain since the surgery. I was at a rehab hosp for 12 days and learned to stand, pivot, wiggle on 1 ft so I could manage my personal needs. It wasnt easy but I did it so I could escape and go home. I have been in a wheelchair and a cast for 11 wks. Today I got the post-mold cast off (I didnt want a boot bec too hard for me on my own). … Every single dr on my 11 wk journey has complimented me on how well I have healed (skin is ok, xray is normal). I took citrical, magnesium, vir D, vit K, collagen as well as ate beef, yogurt, cheese, etc for bone health. But I attribute my healing success to Dr Akoh and his wonderful surgery of putting my severely broken ankle back together again. Absolutely spectacular surgeon. I am so greatful I had him.

Actually Dr.Akoh is with regenerative Orthopedics and spine in Griffin and Stockbridge Georgia. He is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He has wonderful bedside manners also which is rare in a lot of doctors I find. ( but just my opinion). And the group He works with are all outstanding doctors. I highly recommend him.
