Dr. Cyrus E Bakhit, MD

Dr.Bakhit is by far the best pain management doctor in the valley. He puts his heart and soul into his patients. He does wonderful procedures and has helped me keep my life as normal as possible. Best doctor I’ve ever had period.

I have been seeing Dr. Bahkit and his staff for several years. They are all really nice people and have always treated me very nice and respectfully. I will continue to have Dr. Bahkit as my pain management doctor and all of his staff taking care of me as long as they all will have me as a patient or until I no longer need to see a doctor with my back problem. I can not say enough good things about all of them!!!! I love each and everyone of them for their services and for treating me as a human and not just as another chart number.

I am amazed at the rumors and lies being spread here! You should all be ashamed. These are horrible things to say and can harm someone's reputation out of your complete ignorance. I am a 15 year patient and have also been in contact with him since he left Roanoke. Here's the TRUE story: He left NSPC due to contractual disagreements. He gave them a 4 month notice and his patients more than a 3 month notice. He planned to open an independent practice when he left NSPC but they threatened to sue him due to the no-compete clause in the contract if he did. They refused to negotiate on that. For this reason he returned to KY to work with his former partner until the time limit in the no-compete clause was met. Since that time the other doctor left the practice and NSPC planned to close the practice the end of this month (Dec.). However, there is a very good chance Dr Bakhit may return to keep the practice open. There was NEVER ever any kind medicationv issues or practice… issues or legal issues of ANY type involving Dr. Bakhit - other than private employment contract disputes. I am Dr.Bakhit patents since 2005 or close to this date. He saved me from using pain patches to control my chronic back pain.He care so much for his patience and always think about what he can do or change to help his patience.I have upper herniated disk and is un operateble. He immediately stoped the patches and told me about a pain pump.we decided to see if it works and that night I slept without pain.so I am wearing a pain pump and because of him from 2005 till now I am controlling my pain.last year I start having pain in my lower back and he decided to stop the pain by blocking the nerve.I can keep going about how much Dr. Bakhit helped me. It appears that Dr. Bakhit is in fact in Paducah, Kentucky practicing with a group. It's an 8 hour drive from here, so too far. He is seen on the website thepainmd (dot) com

I went to the new doctor (Dr. DeVoe) today and got my procedure and prescriptions. I had to come in 2 weeks ago for an initial office visit first though, for just prescriptions. Dr. Bakhit was always on target with his Transforaminal injections, and he knew my condition very well. However, Dr. Devoe was helpful and very cautious today. So far so good, and back in a month to give feedback and adjust from there. A man in the waiting room today said Dr. Bakhit is in Greensboro, NC because Virginia required too long for education to get started again. Makes sense because he is familiar with that area from medical schooling. RE: The other review mentioning Kentucky.... Dr. Bakhit was in Kentucky before he came to Roanoke. Guess it's possible he went back there though.

I have been seeing Dr. Bakhit since 2002 and the procedure he does on me completely removes the pain for 2 months, which is typical for my spinal injuries. Wouldn't see any other doctor.

I have been a Patient for Years.. I have a pain pump so im very scared. Ive heard all kinds of stories. the latest was Dr. Bakhit got cited for inproper rx distribution. I find it hard to believe because he was always right on track with the new rules about pain pills. he wouldnt give more the a Months wtrh no refills you hadto have another rx. But, now im wondering if something of the sort hasnt happened because I heard its going to be 18 Months before he will be opening because of conflict of inetrest with his contract.
